Her MET Gala look was cute, much better than last year imo

For DL4, Santeria and Doin' Time by Sublime and her Sunshine cover should be on the mood board. She needs her real summer album but it should be darker than FN and RO, ala DL. Me thinks Lorde is trying that rn but if she flops Dua should take that mantle :bird:

Is you going back and forth between saying I should "kill myself" on discord and asking me here for info some sort of split personality disorder?   I never said anything about new era and I

  • We did get a copyright notice regarding the single thread that had to be closed, so at least that’s some sort of confirmation that the song is important enough for them to get it removed here

Add Delacey and Amy Allen as collaborators on the next project.

Ehhh… Delacey's writing credits do not gag me in the slightest. I hope the songs with her get shelved :deadbanana2:

Amy Allen has the ear for hits though. I'm glad that Joe is reaching out to the right writers and right now.

Dua had her blegh Amy Allen moment with Blegh In Bed... Can she take inspo from the other Amy instead

The collaborators so far are giving Warner had a crisis meeting and said the girl needs HITS again

They should be more worried about spending the entire budget on B*nson B**ne marketing and only getting worse results than Illusion.

Well they better be ready to invest in her then and not pivot to all these alt boys like Benson and Sombr just because she didn't make them the profit  like she usually does :deadbanana2:

How have I been sleeping on RO for over a year? :ace: Its such an incredible record I'm shook :clap3: My current favorites are These Walls, French Exit and Happy for You (and the singles, of course).

She kind of worked this way for RO too, right? Studio time between stops on tour, then taking at least a year before the majority of the album actually came together? Or is this timeline being sped up?

Possibly but there was also a shift in the direction of the album in 2022 when she left TaP. I think there's been tons of stuff that has delayed her recording process and releasing new albums (FN tour being delayed because of Covid, DL1 taking a minute to hit until New Rules, then the success of One Kiss) but I don't see that happening this time.

But Dua has also said she's a perfectionist and won't put out something until she's completely happy with it so who knows. DL4 either early/mid next year or in 2028.

She needs to come back in 2026. The fact that she doesn't seem to be releasing a deluxe of RO or any collabs makes me hopeful that they're putting a music stop on this year to make people hyped for a comeback next year (hopefully)

I hope so too, it really seems they chosen to do things more lowkey beside the tour. It doesn't make sense if she doesn't aim for new music in 2026

Like it was said above, there's been a lot of factors as to why she didn't release any albums sooner. I think DL3 would have been completely different had she been able to tour in 2020-2021.

My gut feel says she's aware that she has to return sooner than later but I think after DL4 she'll take another large break again.

The way i went from hating the album to having it on repeat the last couple of days… i needed a vacation in Spain to finally get it. The only stinkers are still the first 2 singles & End of an Era. The rest is actually a really great album. And the extended version of Happy For You might become my absolute favourite song from Dua :clap3:

Imagine listening to How Long (Can My Ears Take This) and the useless AFL interlude and thinking 'yes yes this is definitely better than the first three songs'

Because they're way better. Houdini & Training Season sound like something from a totally different project and so lifeless, boring. The rest of the tracks have this summery theme that's consistent throughout and actually greatly executed (although in some tracks she should've done more adlibs). I'm currently obsessed with Anything For Love, Whatcha Doing & These Walls… :clap3:

End of an Era is just there… I just don't like it

Houdini, Training Season, End of an Era is basically the album's top 3. Not you still thinking otherwise after seeing the show live as well

The craziest take I've seen in quite a while, wow :deadbanana2:

I agree, though, that RO is a solid, summery project that's aged very nicely. I listen often

End of an Era, Houdini, Training Season, These Walls and Maria are the top 5 :cm:

The way she greatly improved the already incredible New Rules with the new tour version :clap3:

Finally, her next era needs to be a surprise release cuz for me RO era was soured by how bad Houdini and Training Season were. She's just not good at choosing singles i fear :michael:
