DL4 is still eons away but my one wish is that all the visuals attached to the album will be coherent again. That´s honestly my only big gripe with RO. With FN they had basically build this very elaborate space age world and all the visuals for the album shoot (but also just for the entire era in general) flowed very well together. It's such a recognizable era. But with RO it was just... thrown together. There was no cohesion. The visuals for Houdini were so different than what we got with the album.

 

I don't know if it will be dance music, if it will be more guitar driven, more soulful, but PLEASE let her stick to an aesthetic.

I think the whole TS thing threw off both videos for that and Houdini, but by the sound of it the original TS video didn't have anything to do with water/beach either

 

Still baffling to me that they did the whole era shoot at a pool like… this is the followup to FN, why did y'all rent out an Ibiza villa and spent an afternoon shooting

I mean there has been some speculation that TaP leaked things on purpose to build up hype. Wouldn't surprise me. But she left them solely for money reasons. (Which still is a bit stupid to me because she could have easily negotiated for a bigger cut)

Is there a plan still to release These Walls as a single?

Same, I am still suprised that she didn't manage to tie it together at all, because there was enough room to do it.

Instead of making the album press talking points being 'psychedelic' and 'the band' it would have worked much better had she marketed the era from  going from a dark place and always seeing the light in things to eventually revealing the album title to be 'radical optimism

I honestly do see the puzzle pieces of what could have been a cohesive era, but they never put them together.

 

I need DL4 to be more straight forward theme wise like FN. Every aspect felt like an individual journey but also part of the whole.  And she cleverly tied the repackage to the main album by having the Levitating video hair change.

 

 

Anyone else noticing she seems to be mentioning the word "Adrenaline" a lot recently like she started mentioning the word "Radical" in the build up to RO?

 

Possible song/album title? 

There are 'rumors' (obviously taking them with a huge grain of salt since we have no credible insiders) that the music she is working on right now has more of an R&B/Amy Winehouse vibe to it.

 

Handlebars might be a soft transition into her next sound tbh

She's in the studio with Amy Allen (who previously worked with Dua on "Handlebars") & Tommy Baxter (the producer of the FN unreleased track "Act of God (feat. Ant Clemons)").

Yup... TKOW instead of BWBB, LIR instead of GIB... It still just hurts too much to know we could have had an 11-out-of-11 album. Or, she could have thrown those plus B&C, Firestarter, IIAM... it could have been even a 15-out-of-15 album. But she chose to release GIB and BWBB.. and don't get me started on NMP over countless other great outtakes.

Ball & Chain was definitely supposed to be on the Moonlight edition but I think it got scrapped because the Katy feature didnt go through (which thank god because the song is much better solo anyway)
