I agree. But it kinda sucks at the same time because she would benefit from releasing more early, but 2026 is looking to be another stacked year (assuming Sabrina is sticking to her 2 yearly releases), Bey, possibly Taylor.

She needs a good window in which there's not a lot of competition.

This has never mattered for Dua, she's literally never had impressive opening numbers and her hits take months to grow. It doesn't matter who's around when she releases, it matters that she outlasts them all

Is you going back and forth between saying I should "kill myself" on discord and asking me here for info some sort of split personality disorder?   I never said anything about new era and I

  • We did get a copyright notice regarding the single thread that had to be closed, so at least that’s some sort of confirmation that the song is important enough for them to get it removed here

I know but it's hard to outlast when you have to compete with 5 artists at the same time :deadbanana2:

Idk I feel like she's not competing anymore, like people know who she is and they will check her stuff out, and if it sticks she's good :michael:

I don't feel like she's in a bad place at all (see the tour), people just didn't care for RO

If she releases a great album again it will do well regardless of who else is releasing

I don't know if we'll have the album by Q2 2026 but definitely the lead single. I have a feeling we'll see the rumored DJ Snake collab. I definitely can't find it now but, a couple days before DJ Snake posted the photo with her backstage in Paris, someone randomly tweeted that she recorded a song with him while in the city.

I feel like a DJ Snake collab is not what we need rn :skull:

Idk I honestly loved this era, from the aesthetic to the music. Yes it's no Future Nostalgia and it could've been more cohesive sometimes, it deserves much more but still it did respectable numbers for someone who doesn't rely on a huge/solid fanbase yet and couldn't really catch the GP's attention. Houdini and TS are some of her best songs.

Agreed and this era also proved that there are certain countries that Dua always has strong support in (France, Belgium, Latin America).

Yes, she's a huge name. People need to stop disrespecting her, she's one of the best pop girls we have right now and this tour is only solidifying both her status and the bond with her fans, the surprise songs + the crowd interactions are doing wonders.

Honestly I would want 2-3 big collabs before next album, but with some big names in dance music industry. Some great dance track with European Ibiza feel.

She needs to get out into the clubs and get a European DJ twink to produce her next album for her à la Madonna with Stuart and Mirwais. EVERY GIRL NEEDS A TWINK!!!

Ugh yea I don't understand why they didn't try for a song of the summer... Didn't have to be a whole ass RO Deluxe  that would mega flop, but something...

The show in Amsterdam was reviewed in de Volkskrant (Dutch paper) with 4/5 stars, and what I found really interesting and right was that they basically said that she's at her best when she completely throws herself into house music.

I really do feel like if Dua doubles down on the sound that she did with Electricity and One Kiss that that would be one of her best received projects to date :jonny5:

I feel like she's actually more and more going away from dance music :michael: I feel like RO was the beginning and she'll bring in more guitar

OT: for how irrelevant she is fagtrl sure LOVES Dua discourse :sistrens:

Mmmmmmmmmm you´re not lying I fear. She said These Walls is her favourite song on RO... and it´s clear she loves Maria as well

The collapse that would be :jonny5:

The way Electricity is by far the best moment during the concert (with Happy For You & the new house remix of New Rules coming in 2nd) :clap3:

I just realised one thing RO tour lacked is the Club Future Nostalgia part. She honestly should've kept it. That remix album is truly insane (for all the unwarranted hate it got). And the fact that also most of it is house music :cm:

Electricity was so FUN and the way nobody in the audience knew the words to it :deadbanana2: they´re sleeping on one of her best songs eva... Godtricity birthed FN y´all need to catch UP

I do think she might sgtep away from dance in her own music, but I do think an anual collab with a DJ or side thing would be good.

I had the loudest guy next to me and he was messing up lyrics to EVERY song, but that didn't stop him from shouting
