Is you going back and forth between saying I should "kill myself" on discord and asking me here for info some sort of split personality disorder?   I never said anything about new era and I

  • We did get a copyright notice regarding the single thread that had to be closed, so at least that’s some sort of confirmation that the song is important enough for them to get it removed here

If she announces the Latin dates this week we can expect more increases

Radical Optimism deluxe for 1 year anniversary pleaseeeee

Radical Optimism is really a good album once you ignore everyone complaining about it

Just so much more fun and easy to listen to than a lot of music for me nowadays

Your entitled to your opinion (of course)! I personally find it difficult to call RO a "really good" album - equally as difficult as calling it "bad". It's pretty solid through and through, sometimes falling to "meh" and something rising to "great".

To me!

To be fair I said "really a good album" not "a really good album" meaning I basically think it's actually good and easy to listen to, not a "really good" as in "great" album lol

Falling Forever, Houdini, Training Season, Whatcha Doin, End of an Era, Illusion and Maria are all pretty solid songs to me, with some of them being among the best in her discography. The weakest song to me is Happy For You or Anything For Love and they're mostly just meh, not hard skips.

Oh yes, I misread :) Sounds like we're essentially 100% on the same page. All in all it's a really enjoyable listen. She just needs to give more oomph with DL 4. Another safe album like RO will only harm her.

Delusion is such a cute easy bop. Will never understand how it tanked so badly. Deserved at least Break My Heart level sucess.

I agree with what was said earlier. It's really a good album. Most of the songs are enjoyable but it lacks the high highs for me...

Houdini, Falling Forever and Maria are solid 9/10 songs for me (9/10 is pretty ******* great) but FN had several 10/10s so it falls slightly flat in comparison

It's aged so well, even better and more enjoyable over time. #5 in my Top 5 (behind H, EOAE, TS, FF) :clap3:

I stan my girl but I really don't revisit RO often, the songs just don't grab me and they lack detailed production. I listened to FN on new headphones recently and there were still new sounds I discovered

the extended RO album was also a huge fumble for me, they added nothing exciting to the productions

The songs I like most are Houdini and EOAE, even Training Season is 'alright' to me (the BRIT live version serves tho)

RO is good for what it is and it has a lot of enjoyable songs, but what it COULD have been and what Dua was trying to sell us was always more exciting than what the final thing ended up being. The build up and hype was more exciting than the album itself.

Houdini remains her best song to date though

Hey, I'm hosting Soft Landings of '23/'24 and I wanted to let y'all know that Dua is part of this rate, so feel free to join

She's been playing the long game. Word on the street is a deluxe is coming with a "legendary" collab to follow, these numbers are about to look a whole lot better.

And which street is this?

I am not saying she should go back to TAP but she definetely needs to reconsider her team next era. They really set her up.

She could have lead the era with Falling Forever and then release These Walls as the second single and promote the album as her the most mature to date. The album is not bad but she set the wrong expectations with her describing it as Uk-rave-inspired. The album would fare definitely better that way, promote her as a vocalist and songwriter and she wouldn't have to demote the tour to arena dates, which was the wrong move anyway.

... and apparently you want to set her up as well.

Latín Dualipers making RO back on +3 million daily streams :clap3:

Coming for 2 Billion, 11 songs not collabs did that :clap3:

I would love for her to get in the studio with Novodor or A. G. Cook. Come up with something interesting for next album cycle.

Agree with most comments in here. It is a really enjoyable warm weather listen, so I'll probably pick it up again this summer. Houdini and Training Season are all timers in her discography for me. The album just needed a bigger standout moment for it to stick.
