still it l-worded, just enjoy that. A lot of the discussion about leftover tracks feels pointless anyways. Since we were never supposed to hear them and should just be grateful we got a chance to hear it

 

It would be cute if she ends up releasing it on a 20 years anniversary edition eventually, but I personally wouldn't be mad.

What's interesting (to me at least) is that this new cover has the same vocal production & piano as that I'm Free cover she did back in 2019 so it must be the same production team that did that, Zach Witness & J Moon. Hopefully this means she ditched Danny L Harle for DL4 (he produced the Freedom track from 2022).

Everything in my gut is telling me that Dua's team watched Raye's success (especially at the BRITs) and maybe even Dua herself felt inspired by her sound. Combine that with her Royal Albert performance and I reaalllyyyy believe that DL4 will be soul and R&B influenced. It just makes sense.

 

 

I wouldn't mind a few collabs, and something that actually gets played on radio. Handlebars came and went. I need a real bop.

I have to say, I was stanning so hard for Dua during FN era. She was giving drive, she was giving fierce, she was giving MPG and it was so exciting to watch a singer just take off like she did. Especially one who was given such a hard time at the beginning of her career.

 

But she has become so boring now, it's crazy. She used to be a fashion girlie. Everything is a YAWN now. She's on the cover of Harper's Bazaar in a tank top. Very reminiscent of "give us nothing". White, black, and red. That's all we have gotten for 2 years. And the music just doesn't hit like it used to. The worst song on FN is miles better than anything on RO. Although Houdini was a slay.

 

It's sad to see, personally for me because I really had high hopes for her, but she's lost all momentum that she had. She is just so uninteresting now. Boring fashion, all she posts on socials is some boring book club and vacations. It's just… ugh. She can do so much better.

 

And I'm speaking from US perspective only.
