If we don’t get any hints re a visual by now and Monday I’m afraid we won’t be getting a visual album ?

I accepted a visual isn’t coming til the album drop.

I feel like I don’t care about first week sales yet i know I’ll be furiously refreshing pages when the time comes for billboards to issue first week numbers

For ST and LEMONADE we had leaked news of her filming various videos. Pics of her in an amusement park (XO), that girl who saw Bey and Jay on the beach (DIL), etc. This time I don’t believe we have any of that so I find hard to believe we are getting a visual album.

Big Freedia leak is the only thing.
 

So perhaps BMS video and then the rest filmed as the era progresses. So yeah, very traditional rollout (minus all the usual hype the labels used to push for like talk shows and performances).

There are rumors she filmed everything inside a studio. That would explain why nobody saw her filming and maybe she even used CGI this time around to create her own little world. If she drops a visual project on the same day as the album and the album is kinda the soundtrack to the film then that'd be fine by me especially if it's on a true global platform like Netflix. If you look at Netflix's attitude, they are losing subscribers every month and dont seem that worried yet, they are moving forward with introducing a plan with ads and cracking down on passwords sharing so i'd say they are confident something big is coming, something to revive their streaming service, perhaps Bey.

We have been through this many times already.

The guy that told us Honey Dijon was on 2 tracks also told us that one of those songs had its music video filmed. This was back in March. 
We also know she shot with Jonas Akerlund  but we don’t know for what song. 
It’s safe to assume that she has few videos in her pocket ready to be uploaded. But does she have 16 videos? Probably not.

This is why we needed the BMS video back when it was released so another song doesn’t compete against it. BMS might be old news after the album release week.

I don’t usually watch videos more than once unless there is choreo so I’m not pressed about visuals yet.
 

i like the idea of letting the songs just marinate on their own before adding in the visuals. I think that builds more hype for them, if she doesn’t wait too long that is.

Yeah why did they decide to release one of the songs that doesn’t have a video as the lead? My guess is her team and the label thought BMS was the most GP friendly so they decided to go with that. It’s also one of the 4 tracks that are not explicit (keep in mind that Plastic Off The Sofa is also not explicit and we know that’s going to be nasty  )

The other non explicit tracks are:

- Energy produced by Skrillex and The Neptunes with an unknown rapper. This might be a little too experimental 

- Move which is an afrobeat song

 

so yeah BMS seems to be the only radio friendly track on the album. It was the safest choice. Too bad they didn’t film the video until 2 weeks ago

there are visuals with the album  that guy who does arcas stuff said he was working with her for 6 months 

I'm not old enough to remember since I started stanning since 4 era,but which of her video was not premiered alongside its single release? 

 

I remember RTW MV was released like 3/4 weeks after its single released which propelled the song to its peak #29 (it was 33-48-60+ weeks prior). I think Deja Vu too?

nevermind yeah they premiered with the videos. but it really was rare that people did that before self titled
