I don't disagree with you necessarily, but not every battle can be hers, she has spent much of her adult life fighting for injustices and faced loud and dangerous oppositions numerous times.  The amount of scrutiny she has dealt with, and as far as the president of the United States recommending charges against her for inaccuracies, can not be settling.  Times are VASTLY different.  It's unfortunate that the climate we are in dictates this, but we have to respect her reasoning for the decisions she has made, we don't understand her situation fully, we never will, we have no idea the true impact of the right wing pressure on her family, or what she feels about the implications on her children.  

 

The things she and her family have had to endure in the name of art, and social justice, is far more than of us will EVER deal with.  Remember, they are people, too.

I need to get the following off my chest as well. Some of y'all are so unserious and forever stuck in parasocial relationships with your faves that you expect them to move through the world the same way you do, and a lot of the time it's for validation of your own values. Like if you cared that much about the state of the world, you wouldn't have wasted so much of your energy into what celebrities say or think like bfr
