wait this is so true. but there are unfortunately too many limitations regarding samples/interpolations in the song category. I'm not saying Bey & Jay can't write a song without samples, but a lot of their best works have been referential. the Academy doesn't allow it (because of course they don't). how else would they have room to nominate Diane Warren 20 times?

I was recently thinking about this. the gaggery if she announced "RWT movie — out tonight" on her birthday. that movie has her bday celebration, after all.

 

then, at the end of the movie, the screen says "Cowboy Carter Tour — coming 11/14" or whatever other date. assuming they might need more time to get the movie done, though who knows with her.

I'm sorry to break it to you but she is.

 

straights love her. white people love her. men love her.

 

she's a beautiful, funny, "cool" girl devoid of any sociopolitical stance that could ruffle some feathers. she's black (pretty) but she's not Black (African American).

Streaming Chart performance dictates a lot of these girls ability to maintain relevancy so it's really just tea that Bey not only doesn't need it to the same capacity, nor does she invest in maintaining it. Her career sustains off of the art itself which is literally what all these other artists could only dream of achieving tbh. 

I just watched Sinners. There's not a doubt in my mind that Beyoncé wants to make music like the songs from that film. Act 3 is obviously rock but she will definitely throw some soul twangy blues songs in there. 

walk with me: Cowboy Carter Tour > Renaissance Tour.

 

- CCT made better use of the entire stage. (partially because her knee was fully recovered.)

- CCT stage design was better, both functionally (no stairs blocking view) and aesthetically (star/triangle > circle). 

- CCT visuals were superb. while RWT visuals looked sickening, I like that the CCT took it a step further.

- CCT had a better setlist. sorry! and I love the live arrangements, even though I know some of you wanted more changes.

- CCT had Blue Ivy at every date (and she tore it up).

- CCT had some of the best elements of RWT included (ITG/COZY/AS, AHAP, HEATED outro).

 

- CCT mainly lacked fashion. but I made peace with the fact that high fashion was an ELEMENT of the Renaissance era extravaganza.

She will at least one more time in her lifetime, i 100% believe that. The moment she will anounce it tho, we'll have to truly worry for her retirement.

I genuinely miss 2022-2023.  Renaissance, despite the poor promo and visual shenanigans, is probably my favorite Beyonce ERA.

Interesting. My fav era was probably ST. It felt like the world collectively agreed that she was THAT girl - so much appreciation, so much radiance, amazing performances all around. You could tell she was on cloud 9, and the world stood tall behind her. Truly untouchable.
