I've been seeing a lot of Dubai show videos on TikTok and Twitter lately so I decided to play a playlist on Spotify based on the setlist. And damn. She has an ear for Arabic music. Those songs she used for the interludes are wonderful. I still hope she releases the Dubai performance footage one day. She seemed to really enjoy it. Everything about it looks amazing from the few videos that we have - plus she did BIGGER and OTHERSIDE

Do we really think Jan 14 announcement was just for the CC tour? I know her halftime show happened just after the biggest spending week of the year, but why didn't she announce it right after her performance? Also her RIAA certification update - most of the times labels do these kind of things right before new music releases. Then the mariachi trumpets in the teaser…..it plays into CC's theme and style, but at the same time it's pretty characteristic for regional Mexican music. Maybe a CC deluxe/part II was considered and ultimately cancelled?

Seeing how Bey has mastered the art of creating the perfect opener, lets do a quick review:

 

PYCM (Lem) -> haunting, strings + piano, narrative-driven more so than music-driven since Lemonade is quite genreless and rather tells a story 

 

Bigger (TG) -> organ (church like) emphasizing TGs soulfulness, drums + click sounds which emphasize African nature of the project

 

ITG (Renaissance) -> electronic sample, mashup of very different beats and sounds emphasizing "dj set" vibe of Renaissance

 

AR (CC) -> acoustic guitar + tambourine emphasizing spiritual and folk nature of the project.

 

Oh that Rock opener will absolutely shatter our ears and soul. I fully expect a heavy use of E-Guitas + drums and vocals that make us ascend right to heavens gate that opener will be anything but subtle - itll be explosive, aggressive and very in your face (because that is the nature of Rock music)

half the fandom coming to the conclusion that she'd release a CC deluxe/remix album in spanish just bc she had vaguely mariachi sounding trumpets in that jan 14 video was truly an intellectual low for us… and there have been many  (looking at you act ii is a tour and act iii is a film hive) 

To bw fair, she gives so little there's not much else to think about. No visuals, ultra short tours, no promo. Of course people will come up with stuff to entertain themselves.
