The polarizing comment is fair, but let's not romanticize her old lead singles. The only lead single she's ever released to universal acclaim was Crazy in Love.

Deja Vu had a hate campaign and a video petition

Single Ladies was polarizing

Run the World underperformed

Drunk in Love was received really well but there was a big scandal about her newfound sexuality

Formation divided America

Apeshit peaked at 13

Spirit tanked like a brick

:deadvision: I'm sorry but this made me to cackle

Honestly she should have handled EIL era better. The botched release made the whole era to torpedo.

The chills when i saw the the bold letter "ALBUM OUT"  when she surprise release during her london show

imagine if she did it again for the last show of CBC:superman:

Why do you believe she purposefully doesn't try to sustain her hits?

I think she initially wanted to do annual releases of the albums and opted out to do album-tour-album-tour-album-tour due to the unexpected feedback for Renaissance.

Due to this, I wholeheartidly think Team Bey deliberately makes an effort to create hype around the lead singles, pushes them + its parent album, but then pretty much opts out from doing anything further to let the era basically die down. There is quite frankly no interest in prolonging it because they want to create a feeling of "wanting sth new from Bey" quite quickly again.

Im not saying its a genius idea because Taylor is living proof you quite frankly can have it all, but i do believe that there is intention in letting the projects die so quickly.

Ugh still recovering from last night. I expected the worst or a cut show given the weather but she delivered it all!

She's so astonishingly beautiful. That is a gorgeous woman through and through. Then the talent and smarts. Ugh! Fave!

The new gold costume is gorgeous, the Protector one is cute with the black fur, thank god she changed the CIL one but it still can be better. They need to just give it a different aesthetic as opposed to just country bumpkin hoedown with denim.

It's time to shift the budget from the dancers to the band. Especially for the act iii tour :bam:

Yes!
Especially for American Requiem. It deserves a grand opening with a focus on the band. I just envisioned so

much more rawness in my head for that song, but we just get her gracefully standing their with dancers dressed in white serving a routine on par with Protector :doc:

She over spent on RWT costumes so now the budgets have to be budgeting for this tour!

CC as a production is probably double what RWT cost. You lot just say anything

Thank. From someone who was actually there....The costumes were stunning last night.

I can get behind this theory with how BIK turned out but I don't understand the logic.

If a single is begging to smash, why hinder its success when they provide an album longevity. My opinion is that people would be more interested in further acts with hit songs they know.

I guess i'm asking do you understand the logic behind her adjusted process?

Good thing beyonce is not obligated to abide by your vision. ITS HERS

Hive, i need your help. What is the best way to get to MetLife stadium from Brooklyn? I have tickets for May 24th. I can drive but the traffic will probably be crazy. There is a bus that goes from Manhattan but it is only once every hour so i assume it's gonna packed as well. Anyone has experience going there before?

The American Requiuem openong is so underwhelming for her standards...especially since for being such a grand of a song.

There's buses from Port Authority that stop at the meadowlands. There's a few that stop there, but bus 160 to Elmwood Park comes to mind. I used to take the bus to work when I lived in NJ and worked in Manhattan.

If not that, take the PATH from the World Trade Center and take an uber/lyft from Jersey City or Hoboken to the stadium.

I took the Port Authority bus when I went to the RWT. It wasn't terribly busy, especially if you go earlier in the afternoon like I did.

I love how happy she is on this tour. The revised setlist with the hits section works really well, and the tweaks she's made otherwise have tightened everything up.

I'm really interested in the styling choices for this tour. The approach to RWT was really bold and creative. But for CWT, most of the costumes so far have been pretty straightforward, leotard and chaps. Everything is pretty, and no big misses like we had for RWT, but its pretty literal interpretation of country. Maybe because she went so much bigger on the stage and production value, she dialed back the fashion a bit.

I'd love to see her work with new choreographers for act iii. I haven't really clicked with any of the new choreo for this tour and she doesn't seem super into it. Perhaps a time for a switch up. Perhaps she could bring Parris onboard.
