While I get what you mean, lets not undervalue Beys accomplishments:

 

- both Rennie and CC debuted at #1

- both had #1 lead single

- both spawned very successful tours (back to back stadium tours within 2 years)

- CC won her AOTY

 

Sure, she couldve pushed the commercial success more, but let's not act like she didn't leave her mark and didnt create iconic moments so far.

I think the trilogy has been PERFECT for her brand honestly. Sure there are better things that could have happened but I love how everything has planned out so far honestly, and I respect her wishes.

Hard to say, but in hindsight, releasing a video for every track or releasing an album with an accompanying music film were both risks and were seen as out of left field (I'm sure she was advised against it too), yet she found a way to make us reassess how we consume her music and maybe music in general and both were successes and made long term impact. 
 

The trilogy visual release strategy is another risk and won't make sense to us rn, but in the future when we look back, we'll see her vision. It's just hard to envision right now because it hasn't happened yet and we have nothing similar to base it off of.

Hmmm…I think the trilogy has been GREAT for her brand. Better things definitely should have happened, but I don't mind how it's unfolding so far (especially if there's another album/tour combo for Act III).

Unless I am mistaken, All Night was the 5th and final single from Lem.. By the time it got to that point it might as well have been just another album track as we are all very aware of how she treats here singles (justice for Formation the multi week number 1 that got away).

Also not too much on Hold Up. She should've pushed that globally when it had momentum rather than waste the good will on Sorry.

The song was sent to radio December 2016 and they published the video on YouTube. By that time, she was well into her pregnancy and had done enough. "LEMONADE" was the last album she heavily promoted and ppl weren't into the song as much then. 
 

Ppl have grown to adore it over the years, especially through TikTok and the idea that it deserves to be performed at CCT, but that's about it. I remember a time when ppl couldn't stand the song, even after the Tidal performance. 
 

"SORRY" & "HOLD UP" had much more commercial appeal, especially when ppl were trying their hardest to hang on to the few lifelines left in heavy synth. Pop. Times have changed & nearly anything can be a hit. The song could fair a little better, considering what on Radio, but she would still just simply throw it out there!
