Haunted and All Night outperforming their respective leads/PUSHED singles is a testament to her 2010s run as an artist that doesn't depend on singles for longevity. People DO go back to her discography on Spotify, they're just distributed more equally between each album and their deep cuts. It's a subtle way to stay in the game without being overexposed or deemed as a flop despite the forced narrative that she is.

i think you have a very conventional idea of how this film is going to be based on Lemonade and Black is King.

 

i do not think there will be music videos for every single song from all 3 acts. The film will be more like a movie than a collection of music videos. There will be a story and a plot that ties all 3 of the albums together. This is why we have not seen them yet.

 

Think of it as her Purple Rain or Moonwalker. There will be dialogue interspersed with performance sequences.

 

My personal theory is that each act album's music will be the focus in each "act" of the story. Most films are written in a 3-Act structure. So it will be a singular film (titled ECHOVILLE?) that will use each album to progress the story.

I'm really interested in the styling choices for this tour. The approach to RWT was really bold and creative. But for CWT, most of the costumes so far have been pretty straightforward, leotard and chaps. Everything is pretty, and no big misses like we had for RWT, but its pretty literal interpretation of country. Maybe because she went so much bigger on the stage and production value, she dialed back the fashion a bit. 

 

I'd love to see her work with new choreographers for act iii. I haven't really clicked with any of the new choreo for this tour and she doesn't seem super into it. Perhaps a time for a switch up. Perhaps she could bring Parris onboard. 

 

 

 

 

I don't want parris anywhere beyonce. Her choreo is so ugly and stiff and very pale. Very mechanic and erratic.  Her vibe of choreo does not match with bey at all.

 

The choreograoher that truly gets bey's sensibilities is Chris Granted and Tyrek. They are the ones that work with her and they work well together.

I really like the little segment she did for Buckin, and clearly so does B

 

It's more interesting, and she enjoys it more than the rest of the new choreo

you can honestly skip side projects like Everything is Love  Homecoming is kinda her greatest hits album in live form with great transitions and arrangements if you're into that. The Gift can also be skipped but Bigger, Find Your Way Back, Otherside and Water are all worth checking out. CC is the closest to Lemonade but with the obvious yeehaw twist. Speechless, a slow sensual psychedelic r&b bop, is a standout from her debut album

To be fair Bodyguard was outstreaming in the past, it has been more consistent, it is approaching 100M and Tyrant is at 54M. But indeed Tyrant should be pushed.

In an ideal world both of them will have followed THE.

 

Re previous page, Bodyguard would have been a terrible first single. It has no punch and makes no statement. THE as literal as it is was the perfect lead. 

The fact that Upgrade has almost 180k streams on Spotify, although it was never a single, is so fantastic to me. Déjà Vu, the lead has 152K, almost as much as Listen.
