I'm a Newbie and I've been a fan since 97, this is awesome to witness.

As someone with very little idea how the charts work, how will this single smashing like this affect the album? 

Classes when the album isn’t even out yet. actually does the album even exist (i’ll believe it when i see the preorders)

usually a significant boost if the lead or any pre-album single smashes. the SB drop was smart given its genre direction + her coming off a successful tour & withholding visuals .. i can see act ii hitting 400-500k first week.
