Well it is a friday

I actually believe that some songs from Renaissance didn't translate as well live or weren't as amazing as they could be cuz she had to work it within the tour as it's sectioning. 

 

 

My rating: 

 

I'm that girl: 9/10 

 

Cozy: 11/10 (there's just some magic to it live)

 

Alien Superstar: 6/10 (had higher expectations)

 

Cuff it: 8/10 (I believe she has better in her) 

 

Energy: 10/10 (I love it) 

 

Break My Soul: 9/10 

 

 

Church girl: 6/10 (but it's on me cuz I don't love the song) 

 

 

POTS: 8/10

 

Virgos Groove: 6/10 (this song is a career highlight and I felt it could've had some extra oomph live) 

 

 

Move: 8.5/10 

 

 

Heated: 6/10 (a disappointment for me. I feel like she could've done so much with this. If she had to perform this song on some award show stage, she would've truly done amazing things. I think her current performance doesn't highlight the songs beautiful melodies in the first half. Then that little skip she does to enter tip tip tip is jarring. Tip tip tip EATS tho) 

 

AHAP: 8/10 (it's hella fun) 

 

Pure/Honey: 7/10 (it's almost there. I think this has many missed opportunities. Especially not doing a call and answer breakdown during Honey - from you know it's Friday night part onwards. It is begging for a WDYLM Mrs Carter tour style breakdown). 

 

Summer Renaissance: 6/10 (seeing her fly was insane but I feel like outside the intro on the horse, the performance falls flat for how this song literally has a drop with YOU SEXY MOTHAFUC** and she's stuck on a horse unable to move. I expected some reworking of the song to make it fit the finale and the flying better). 

 

 

 

Just my thoughts 

 

 

Alien Superstar, the chorus should have been the highlight. They dropped the ball on that. 

 

Idk if yall have seen me around the site seething over Troye Sivan presumably being a Beyoncé hater but I just googled and saw he met her at her birthday party. He said he wasn’t invited but was a plus one with Lilly Rose Depp.  Who decides the invite list? Yvette? Cause why Lilly…. Also Reba McIntyre was apart of the interview with Troye and she said she never met Beyonce. Does anyone find that weird? They’re both big time singers, she made an official cover of If I Were A Boy, and they were nominated for best Oscar song the same year. She needs to mingle more with her associates maybe she can win a big time award for once.

plenty of people can't say they had kiki moments with MJ Tina or Prince. Beyonce is on that level can't have it both ways.

Bey pre-taped her performance and showed up like partway through the ceremony - unless they were seated near each other (which I don’t recall but I could definitely be wrong) they very easily could have missed the chance to cross paths

 

plus Reba is a country legend, but they obviously run in different circles. there doesn’t have to be anything sinister behind them not being besties 

Only tour to make the list in one year with the LEAST amount of dates.

I love the tank for Black Parade but it doesn't help the Savage and Partition performances.

 

when Meg showed up in Houston, I really wished she would have just come down to dance and interact with her more directly. to think we didn't even get a photo of them together backstage 

idk I loved the way the tank shook for Savage, but iirc didn’t it like… not do that on some dates? might be misremembering because I didn’t actually WATCH a lot of videos; mostly listened to the audio
