Yeah, I have a lot of humble pie to eat this morning as someone who really willed her a win and (stupidly) believed the Grammys wouldn't be THAT dumb. They have a huge optics issue on their hands and yet still don't mind continuing with the BS.

I do wonder if they're snubbing her cause of all the "Beyonce = God" rhetoric surrounding her name by fellow artists and the pressure they're making on her deserving the win?

It's definitely part of it. Imagine being in an industry where someone is deified and worshipped (at least on the surface level) while you work your ass off for no acknowledgment. 

 

People are jealous, but they don't get that Bey is being used as a lightning rod to ignite discussion and viewership. Trevor Noah praising her at the beginning of the show was clearly planned.

Yeah and I find those cringy speeches a disservice to her and her image. I'm sure Bey is low key embarassed and wishes they stopped talking about her like that. Grammy's probably think she already has all the praise in the world she doesnt need a big award to reinforce that notion.

I truly don't think it was fraud. If you look at the anonymous voters talking to news outlets before the show, they were literally saying stuff like Bey's album drops being such big news made them vote against her.

 

It's a voting body made up of industry people and entertainment people are notoriously insecure and jealous. They don't want to see her win the big awards.

Between getting waitlisted and the racists on here salivating at her loss I'm probably going to act out and get banned. Remember me fondly. 🫡

Yes, I agree these things will weight against her. As well as song credits etc, lyricism (sexual topics etc). I think it genre bias is at the very top but its a bunch of seperate things combined.

Something that's truly dawned on me when I saw spotify unwrapped is that straight Men don't really use her music
