Ideally she releases either Heated or Church Girl to urban radio to extend the longevity of the album and releases the lead single for act ii on the first tour date. Then the rest of act ii right after the end of the US leg before the 2024 Grammy’s deadline.

Not avant garde soley, but genre & artistry (also typical to said genres) is the primary reason. You guys will act like they hate her when she's the most awarded Grammy artist of all time. The answer is a bit more nuance but still relates the demographic/tastes of the academy

Agreed. I always cringe at celebs fawning over her so much. And yes, it does feel fake when they can stan her in her face but then vote elsewhere whenever they get the chance.

The last thing I want to say about AOTY is, the moment I heard Renaissance, I knew it wasn’t winning. Ignoring race and credits, which were probably still big factors, you guys need to realize how GAY the album is. Like yaaaas it’s a cunty serve for us, but imagine a 40 year old white man voter’s reaction to the 1-2-3 punch of I’m That Girl, Cozy and Alien Superstar  

 

I do hope Bey never attends again. However it is clear she still respects them. Her speech was beautiful. I do hope she values being most awarded over an AOTY, so she isn’t feeling bummed out.

It's more nuanced yes so no it's not her Avant Garde artistry that keeps her from winning as it would not be a hinderance for other nominees. It's not about hating her it's about thinking she is overrated and doesn't deserve THAT much. That feeling is the reason why they keep disrespecting her work in general field.
