Yes but it's kinda sad when it's her own people voting against her but then are the same ones who complain the Grammys don't reward enough Black artist in the main categories. She's not the only one they do this to though but when I found out that info I didn't really have a reaction, just a shrug. The cover is they will say she's the most rewarded of all time. And that she should be happy with that.

Sorry but I don't support this train of thinking. Bey's R&B peers literally voted to give her 2 R&B wins and are responsible for like 90% of her total Grammy wins. I am sure they vote for her in GF too. The main issue are the old white voters outside of R&B who are either flat out racist or don't understand samples and things like that.

What a theme 

The biggest L tonight being the fact so many got waitlisted or flat out didn’t even get an email for the tour

if she didn't win for IASF (one of her most commercially successful albums), self-titled (imo her best album), or Lemonade (her most artistic and acclaimed), there was no chance she was gonna win for Reneigh. The voters hate her.

 

 

Bey could be the sole song writer on her next album and she still would not win. They have given AOTY to albums that have used heavy samples and multiple song writers before. If she has a huge commercial era again (which she already has) then they will say it's because she's "too big". If she flops then they will say it's because she had no hits. It's much deeper than that. 

 

I'm glad shes the most awarded, even though it's a cover.

Not to serve Jane conspiracies (ily girl, you’re an icon) but they voted against Bey, not for Harry. I noticed it at the beginning when everyone was quiet when Trevor praised her

She will never win it. I truly believe that after tonight. What a shame.

I wish more people understood that there is no "course correction" for the Grammy's. Their main awards are meaningless and in face they are actual insults to everything the music industry *should* stand for. This is not limited to Bey. The goal here should be to ensure they fade into such irrelevance that we don't have to ever bother with their sham again.

This will all be forgagaten in a week.  

I hope this is the last time she shows up and stops submitting, otherwise it's a rinse and repeat. She already is the most awarded person of all time.

I'm just passing around the info I found out from an actual Grammy voter years ago. 

Beyonce is greater than the grammy's. Realize that and move on. Grammy's dont mean ****. This is about music and art. Ignore them. Find you peace, even if Bey herself refuses to do so

 

Also maybe it’s me, but I don’t think industry people care that much about specifically stopping Bey’s bag in AOTY but nothing else.

i mean there’s nothing else to say other than this was really disgusting. of all the people that could have and were probably going to win against her anyway ….. they rewarded Harry Styles over her ??????? it’s ……….. i really hope she takes a stand and never attends another Grammy awards ever again. i hope she doesn’t even submit her sh*t from here on out. i am so utterly and viscerally DISGUSTED by what just happened.

 

The good thing is that GP and locals don’t keep track of any of this ****, they have no grasp of how any of this **** works or what it means. When I ask people how they think AOTY is determined, they say it’s given to the biggest seller. Like automatically or something.  Then I point out last year’s winner and Beck and Herbie Hancock and Tony Bennett’s Unplugged, they say “oh” and forget about it. That information, and the inconsistency and hypocrisy that it implies, means nothing to them. They don’t know and they don’t care. They don’t think about it. The Grammys have no cultural cache anymore.
