Bring back my King of R&B... I guess after claiming that title he wants to be Prince now (We're ignoring the feat.)

I loved Jacquees' 2022 and 2024 releases and now he's had 4 albums over the past 2 years and I can barely remember a track from any of them I feel like he's spreading himself way too thin and needs to just take some time on one good project. He's like by far the most frequent artist on my release radar, I guess he's trying to be prolific now that he has a baby to feed #THIRTYTWOWITHAKID (SAY YEAH)

I can't keep up with all his releases.... kwn kinda snatched his stud king of R&B crown this summer

Favorite Rolling Stones albums? I can never decide which to tackle first because it feels like everyone has different favorites, which is a good sign but still

She suffers from being a people pleaser, she didn't even like the song at first and was gonna give it to Gloria Estefan but they made her keep it because the public would eat it up. And then she basically said she would feel guilty for not performing it since everyone tells her it saved their gay little lives so here we are with her closing every show with Hero 3 decades later Like the fact that she didn't even wanna make a fun remix for it because it reeks too much of cheese

It's only up from here I'll always use Dreamlover, title track, and Now That I Know from the standard at least. We can only imagine what the album she wanted to make sounded like, she kinda got stockholmed into liking cheesy stuff like Hero from it being so popular.... which is why I wish she said **** the fans decades ago and performed more album tracks and real fan faves

I've been overwhelmed in a positive way by Miles Davis, he went through a million different sounds and styles over the decades so I keep getting distracted but I keep coming back to different eras Luther Vandross has extremely rewarding for me, amazing singer, songwriter, and composer. Not just beautiful ballads and midtempos but very funky 5/6 minute + nighttime bangers with great instruments and musicianship Just went through OutKast's discog again too, they're still kings of creativity, and I've been loving Rick Ross the boss that's a quality hitmaker! Minnie Riperton has been gorgeous, soulful breezy songs that could soundtrack a fairytale, lots of great Funk too I also plan on getting through 90s Stevie and 2010s Prince (finally) Earth Wind & Fire got put near the top of my queue with their recent documentary. I put the P-Funk collective back up there too because I've been in a Funk mood a lot this year I liked a lot from what I heard from Bobbie Gentry, a wonderful songwriter. Dolly is always on my list too when it's summertime I found my old book on the 70s decade so I've been adding more of the Punk, Glam Rock, etc. to my list to feed my boomer music knowledge. Grateful Dead has been sounding pretty good to me so far Also so far love and keep going back to Saint Etienne, Betty Davis, LL Cool J, James Brown, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, of Montreal, Teresa Teng, Kerri Chandler There's honestly an underrated appeal in the extremely prolific artists of old who put out multiple albums every year instead of long extended eras because they put everything possible on record and you can hear them slowly evolve in real time. Especially when you hear the evolution of music itself evolve alongside them, or as a result of them

I'm scared of the possibility that reddit will have better results than us idk. Maybe we're better off not knowing

Honestly I started listening to a lot more new albums/music while working out and it's easier to tune out or not pay attention so everything sounds fresh to me. I've gone back to albums and been bored
