Billboard seems to be such a disaster lately. That whole Scooter/Justin Peaches mess-up, them writing nonsense articles just to pacify the idiot twitter stans, the fact that they keep changing the formula (I guess this isn't bad since the charts always need some improvement but sometimes I think it takes too long for them to catch up)... a mess   

There's something bogus about the new metrics anyway because it's all these 1 week #1 debuts that don't hold

It's as accurate for the week being though. Means they are the most popular "of the tracking week" only

Rollingstone having "Without You's" On Demand streams higher than the overall total streams Billboard reported is suspect though

These chart prediction accounts get some clout and think they have the audacity to correct billboard Lmaoooo 

Like how you drag billboard and say there the ones having issues because YOU got your prediction and numbers wrong. Y’all can do y’all best but there is a reason why billboard has “official” numbers because they use metrics that no one knows but them. Your a chart PREDICTOR account for a reason, not everything is gonna be exact to your liking 

Did the people commenting in here... actually read the thread in the OP?  They're not whining about their predictions being off, they're pointing out objective discrepancies between the numbers Billboard is reporting and the numbers being reported by other official sources like Rolling Stone

 

If you want to drag someone for daring to challenge Billboard or whatever, then drag Rolling Stone, not the people who have a genuine question about why these two seemingly reputable sources don't match up  But either way, the idea in here that Billboard is some infallible god that should never be questioned is so weird, especially when you consider all the very questionable decisions they've made recently.

Their tweet has nothing to do with the formula behind their predictions not matching Billboard's formula. It is about the numbers Billboard have reported, as they do not match Rolling Stones' numbers:

 

"This week, many streams did not count for "Without You", which should've launched to #8 or #9 at the lowest. On Rolling Stone, the song got 12.9 million audio alone, yet Billboard said all streams combined totaled 12.5 million, which is impossible."

Billboard has made mistakes. This week they didn't count all the streams of Without You for example

 

Without You did 12.9 million audio streams alone and they counted 12.5 million overall   (they didn't count the youtube and programmed streams neither)

 

It's impossible it did only 12.5 million overall when it did 12.9 million audio streams alone

I'm sick of radio picking what's a hit and what's not
