Tyla - 'A*POP'
This album.... she's just not serious. Everyone at Epic needs to lose their jobs. I was going to write all my frustrations with her album but I'm not going to put that all on her, cause I'm sure multiple executives heard this and agreed this was the album she needed to release to further her career, so there's an element of sabotage baked into to her record contract (I'm sure of it). DYNAMITE and MR. MEDIA are better than everything on this entire project and for all the hate she gets from Nigeria she might need to rebrand into being a (strictly) AFROBEATS artist, the "african crossover pop" vision was there (in the visuals too) but the output is so bad. This album is a shame following up from TYLA+

Latto f/ Doja Cat - "Okayyy"
- Gracie Abrams - 'Daughter from Hell'
This album is OK as a new fan introduced to her from the TSOU singles... but it's crazy when a "behind-the-scenes" type songwriter starts finding success as an artist there's always an air of "they were the real brains behind the operation" to **** on said artist (julia michaels, victoria monet, etc.) so this album needed to be stronger (marketing-wise too, i don't think the haircut has done her any favours this era ) to weather the Audrey comparisons better. Good luck to her with that.... My favorite songs are: death wish, sober, mews, hit the wall, minibar, the knife- Tyla - 'A*POP'
She's releasing an album at the end of the month? Who knew? Certainly not anyone outside of the internet considering there's been like 0 marketing for this album... one magazine shoot three months ago, dud singles, no televised performances for these singles (AMAs + BET Awards came and went, was nominated for both too), just very low effort. I was promised HYBE was going to supercharge her career to new heights. They've dropped the ball on her so tremendously, which is a little bit ridiculous cause I'm sure her team are aware of the constant pitchforks are on her (nigerians + the african american generic public + now rihanna fans) so every t and i needed to be crossed and dotted when it came to this album. Good luck to her tho there might be a saving grace / Jump somewhere.. and the reviews are looking good. (I'm just scared for the first week sales backlash. they've just spent the last month tearing Lizzo and other black women in pieces)- Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley separated after 3 years, Margaret confirms
WOW! So I guess, according to Cardi B and Lizzo, all the rumours are true. Some of my twitter mutuals were in #uproar ages ago on how she changed her instagram handle right after she starred in that music video but I'm so gagged, I know she was dying waiting for the Taywedding to be over, she couldn't even wait a week. Crazy crazy crazy never doubt the internet unpaid sleuths !!- Zara Larsson signs to RCA Records
The concept of getting a 10-years-in-the-works breakthrough moment to sign it away to RCA records- Rolling Stone: music executives discuss Lizzo's flop album
- Lizzo - "B*TCH"
Not to add to the already fatigued-conversation about her career but the surprise released mixtape selling more than this official album is disastrous kalshi via Luminate- FLO - "Don't Break Her Heart"
Keep pushing girls. Each song is better than the last!! When it pays off it's all be worth it > I think they did well promoting Leak It. There were viral TikToks everyday that came on my #fyp!- Where is Doechii?
After a stellar spring 2025 (incase you needed reminding....) lauded GRAMMYs performance + win billboard woman of the year SS25 fashion week viral praise, which literally broke out both versions of Anxiety, globally, very hard to do not everyone has that a performance with thee Lauryn Hill Spotify: ~ 60 million monthly listeners, ABNH doing ~10m daily ... it seems like NOBODY is anticipating her debut album anymore. No one has said anything.. nobody is asking... Doechii doesn't even post on social media anymore! #WhereIsDoechii #WhereDidTDEGoWrong ?- Tinashe - "Too Easy"
So this is the song of the year- Lizzo - 'BITCH'
She and her main producer did an interview about Still Bad and how this album (LIRL had the same singles as this one lol) was going to be rock inspired/heavy, in line with the Rosetta Sharpe biopic she is starring in (even though there's been like 0 update since the initial announcement) but this entire album is giving Radical Optimism bait-and-switch because this is just a watered down Special (which was a watered down CILU) themes wise, sonically, everything. Even the samples in the potential breakout singles (I guess) feel very lazy After this era she definitely needs a new... approach to making music (she needs a new EVERYTHING tbh.) But I do like Good morning and Happy 2 Be and they kinda had those classic Lizzo-y quisms/lyrics and were produced quite well- Latto - 'Big Mama'
A cute increase from her last album (+17%) despite the negativity around her and 0 hits. Cardi B fans thinking they have impact on Latto's career when this is debuting in the same place as her other three albums #unaffected #lol- Dua Lipa and Callum Turner got married in London
Oh gag! They book look gorgeous- Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
I think Ariana is creatively stuck. But I wouldn't know what direction for her to go in either, tbh. - Gracie Abrams - 'Daughter from Hell'
