The comments in this thread give the exact same vibes as those that try to say the Grammys are never biased.

 

If you've actually read the thread and think Billboard is the one in the right here, then that's your opinion. But most of you just like to think Billboard is always right and can't be wrong, so I doubt many people here defending Billboard actually have, if any.

 

This isn't something that was just concluded by the TOTC admins either. Almost every predictor on twitter came up with the same conclusions too.

They aren't just a "chart predictor" account on twitter; they literally have a whole discord and site where they talk about all of the gimmicks of the charts. They know exactly what they're doing, how the charts work, etc. 

 

Also, the "no one knows but them" is a lie. Why do people like chartdata (and also TOTC) have access to digital sales stuff before the Hot 100 is out? Because other people do know what numbers they should be using, or very close to them at the very least.

 

When the vast majority of people doing predictions come up with the same thing and it's something significantly different, it's worth an investigation.

If you want to drag someone for daring to challenge Billboard or whatever, then drag Rolling Stone, not the people who have a genuine question about why these two seemingly reputable sources don't match up  But either way, the idea in here that Billboard is some infallible god that should never be questioned is so weird, especially when you consider all the very questionable decisions they've made recently.
