Um, it absolutely will. I actually love the album, but it's commercial performance is underwhelming. ROM will drop to #8 or #9 next week and it'll be out of the top 10 the week after that. Same goes for Chromatica on the BB 200. Nothing about this era has/will serve any sort of longevity.

ROM will definitely have longevity considering it's exploding on the radio right now. I doubt it's leaving the top 10 that soon.

The way you posted your own wishful thinking and presented it as facts. Yikes :rip:

a drop from #1 to #2 is not bad lol

It's only #2 because the BB 200 is very weak in this particular week and there aren't any new releases. It's still dropping from 275K to less than 60K. That's a massive drop and it's almost certain that she'll drop even more the week after that.

I'm glad she got her two top 5 hits and her #1 album, but this "era" doesn't even feel like one. It'll be over in the next two weeks when ROM and Chromatica fall out of the top 10 on the Hot 100 and BB 200 respectively.

If she reopened her store I’m sure she could cinch a second week at #1 but she is largely ignoring her album out of respect for BLM :clap3:

And yes, this isn’t unexpected for a pop album:

Sweetener -67%
Lover -79%

Manic -77%

Don’t know why Queen is being brought up in this discussion when her debut numbers was bolstered mainly by tour bundles of a cancelled arena and tacking on FEFE to the tracklist (a collaboration with a paedophile).

And yet her second week numbers still managed to do over 90k somethint all of the girls are failing to do. Mind u, queen had no smash hit on the album and had no today’s top hits .

It's not horrendous, considering the state of the industry and the planet right now. But I certainly find it interesting the way the Monsters are trying to spin this considering we know exactly how they would be reacting if any other pop girl dropped 80%, fell below an album charting on its 15th week and on track to sell the same/less than Halsey. :skull: It's certainly not good.

I was also expecting ROM to be carrying the album but to be fair even Lover was doing better on spotify at this point and songs like YNTCD, The Man, Cruel Summer, IFTYE and Paper Rings were doing better than SC. Unfortunately for Gaga radio doesn’t count for the BB200 :giraffe:

wasn't Feefee added mid week?

and the song was not in it's peak during the albums 2nd week

that said, gaga's 2nd week sales are still kind of low

what happened?

ROM won’t drop to #8 or #9 next week. With radio quickly picking it up, it will spend at least 10 weeks inside the Top 10.

#1 on iTunes with a decent lead over BL.

Top 10 on US spotify

Top 20 on Apple Music

Biggest radio gainer for a whole week in a row by far.

Yes. Nobody expected ROM or Chromatica to stabilise at the top position, maybe not even in the Top 3, but this is gonna stick around for longer than y’all believe.

You do know that Billboard has significantly reduced radio's power on the Hot 100 in the past few weeks, right? It doesn't matter how quickly it's gaining on radio. Radio isn't as strong as it used to be. More importantly, it's streaming strength isn't enough to keep it in the top 10 for much longer. ROM had the benefit of being released a week before the album to offer a boost in streams and it still dropped to #5 in it's second week. That boost will be gone in it's third week and radio simply isn't strong enough right now for it to use that as a crutch to hold on to a top 10 spot.

It's dropping to #8/#9 next week and falling out the week after that. That's what I see happening.

It’s possible, Lover, Billies album and TUN all had atleast 3 weeks selling 100k if I’m not mistaken. No shade to Gaga

Yes. All 3 did +100k across 3 different weeks

Good numbers considering the current circumstances and the fact that she hasn’t mentioned the album since it dropped. :clap3:

It’s also nice to see certain people finally joining us in Gaga threads

Well she is doing decently considering whats going on in the world right now, I think she may have done better if this pandemic didnt exist

BB Hot 100: #7 - Don’t Start Now

iTunes: #25

Spotify: #24

Apple Music: #101

YouTube: #62

”Radio simply isn’t strong enough” :deadbanana:

People are busy protesting and exposing racists.  Seems no one cares about music right now

Which other artist has had to completely erase her album existence the day after it dropped? Like, really.

I'm not expecting Chromatica to be a smash neither ever claimed it to be so, but OGHs are doing the most on this woman :skull:

release target bonus tracks on spotify and it may snatch #`

Even with the small reduction radio still accounts for a large % of H100 points. I've only seen the chartsters on here pretending like it's completely off the table :rip:

Also whoever said that a hit single should be enough to keep an album selling over 100K on a weekly basis :skull:

Maybe in 2010, not when the current charts are almost completely streaming fueled and the usual chart toppers are the same rap records that get very good Apple music and Spotify numbers. Unless you have your whole damn record charting inside the Top 40 on Apple Music, you ain’t touching over 50k weekly SPS. :rip:

who talked about 100k but you? :skull:

I'm only saying that abums rely on hit a lots nowadays and ROM is still fresh on the charts rn so its keeping it afloat for now

ROM's streams are decreasing though, so it's not looking good:

Spotify US - #8

Apple Music US - #19

If ROM doesn't stick, then Chromatica's SPS numbers will be lower in the following weeks

no idea what DSN has to do with this thread but it's still #15 and #16 on the On-Demand and Streaming charts respectively (after 24 weeks), that's why it's still top10 on Billboard.

and you all should realize that being #25 on itunes and #5 doesn't really make a strong difference nowadays, they are selling like 5k and 13k each
