What s most depressing about it aren’t even the numbers, but the fact that we ain’t getting any exicitng stuff anymore.

Drag her as much as you want, but she completely abandoned this era the moment the album came out. We got 0 radio interviews, 0 live TV shows, 0 performances. Hell, we didn’t even get the damn streaming party :ace:

Her website store has also been down for a few consecutive days :rip:

A large debut, fueled by pre-orders, website and tour bundles will always result in a big drop the following week, no matter the artist. Stop overreacting :skull:

Albums ain’t selling 100k on a regular week anymore. Those days are long gone and this is just how far streaming can get you. Oh well.

She’s focused on more important things sis. The entire base was screaming about her dropping the album and just letting it flop and now that she has a hint of success everyone’s like promote promote promote.

theres no album on top 10 getting promo so its not an excuse

the excuses in this thread already :skull:

"no promo!!1"

well we're in the streaming age and ROM is supposed to be a smash, isn't that enough promo to hold the album a bit?

It's not like performances do anything nowadays

like... this.

this would have been the same drop The Weeknd would have had if he hadn't added extra bundles. very similar numbers with Halsey's btw

I do agree that promoting this record shouldn’t be her top priorty right now. It’s completely understandable that sales are gonna go down when the whole attention drifts away from the record, but that doesn’t change the fact that the current situation is rather disappointing from a stan’s perspective. That being said, I guess we can live on with the fact that this record is now on its own.

You all keep saying performances don’t do anything these days, which is totally bull when it comes to Gaga. She’s one of the most promo sensitive artists out there. Both her latest hits prior to ROM have repeaked thanks to her live performances. Just cause they don’t do **** for the streaming driven artists, it doesn’t mean the same applies to Gaga.

Meanwhile queen did 95k in its second week with no Spotify today’s top hits placement and no playlisting in general . Whew Chile embarrassing

You do realize that Queen still outsold most of the girls’ recent efforts right? You’re messy. Gaga had the highest female opening this year by NUMBERS :cm: she’ll be fine.

nicki wouldve sold 10 albums during a pandemic, no shade :skull: considering that album had literally 0 hits...

OT: expected tbh, she could still get the #1 if she tried. thing is, itd be kinda insensitive to do album promotion considering whats going on atm :/

tbh i haven't streamed chromatipanned since release day. let me help ha out and stream sour candy

If she reopened her store I’m sure she could cinch a second week at #1 but she is largely ignoring her album out of respect for BLM :clap3:

And yes, this isn’t unexpected for a pop album:

Sweetener -67%
Lover -79%

Manic -77%

Don’t know why Queen is being brought up in this discussion when her debut numbers was bolstered mainly by tour bundles of a cancelled arena and tacking on FEFE to the tracklist (a collaboration with a paedophile).

I'm actully surprissed for this lol Did Queen really do almost 100k in its second week?

57k is not bad, it can be #1

the gap is not that big and the sales are low this week

Also whoever said that a hit single should be enough to keep an album selling over 100K on a weekly basis :skull:

Maybe in 2010, not when the current charts are almost completely streaming fueled and the usual chart toppers are the same rap records that get very good Apple music and Spotify numbers. Unless you have your whole damn record charting inside the Top 40 on Apple Music, you ain’t touching over 50k weekly SPS. :rip:
