HDD Final: Chromatica #2, 64k

It's only #2 because the BB 200 is very weak in this particular week and there aren't any new releases. It's still dropping from 275K to less than 60K. That's a massive drop and it's almost certain that she'll drop even more the week after that.

I'm glad she got her two top 5 hits and her #1 album, but this "era" doesn't even feel like one. It'll be over in the next two weeks when ROM and Chromatica fall out of the top 10 on the Hot 100 and BB 200 respectively.

lol.

The re-restart of the era should pick things up.

...what restart? Rain On Me wasn’t a restart? :deadbanana2:

And yet her second week numbers still managed to do over 90k somethint all of the girls are failing to do. Mind u, queen had no smash hit on the album and had no today’s top hits .

Congrats to Queen for barely crossing Chromatica’s first week sales with two weeks of sales in her only strong market. Meanwhile Queen achieved top 5 in four markets across the world. Many of Chromatica’s album tracks have already outstreamed Queen’s album tracks on Spotify.

The fact that it never started to begin with chagxhwhz :deadbanana4:

They shipped it but it got shipped back teas :rip:

OT: That’s quite a drop!

still Top 2 :coffee2: OGHs running in here as if they weren't expecting it to drop out of the charts a few days ago

This is still good considering that this is a pure dance-pop album, not her best work and everything going on in the US

well if this is good than monsters should stop saying that eil (59k) and homecoming (57k) are flops since both did more than chromatica second week :coffee2:

Drag that delusional Nicki stan! :ahh:

The overdramatics in here. Gaga is fine.

How do you go from 270K to less than 60K in one week? This album won't last 4 weeks in the top 10. Yikes.

42 minutes ago, onewillowsilk said:

The other albums serving longevity in the top 10 aren't being promoted and have been out for longer. There's no excuse as to why she should be doing less than 60K in her second week with an album that has a #1 and top 5 hit. This album will be out of the top 10 in the next two weeks and so will ROM.

And the monsters had the nerve to call this her comeback era :rip:

Um, it absolutely will. I actually love the album, but it's commercial performance is underwhelming. ROM will drop to #8 or #9 next week and it'll be out of the top 10 the week after that. Same goes for Chromatica on the BB 200. Nothing about this era has/will serve any sort of longevity.

34 minutes ago, onewillowsilk said:

Yes, there are no excuses. Like I said, there are other albums in the top 10 that were released months ago, under the same COVID-19 conditions, so using it as an excuse for your fave doesn't work, sorry. It wasn't an excuse when the album did over 250K in it's first week, but now it's an excuse :skull: Lil Baby didn't even score any hits from his albums. No song off it reached the top 10, yet his album is managing to serve longevity, enough go to back to #1 several weeks after it originally dropped.

You do know that Billboard has significantly reduced radio's power on the Hot 100 in the past few weeks, right? It doesn't matter how quickly it's gaining on radio. Radio isn't as strong as it used to be. More importantly, it's streaming strength isn't enough to keep it in the top 10 for much longer. ROM had the benefit of being released a week before the album to offer a boost in streams and it still dropped to #5 in it's second week. That boost will be gone in it's third week and radio simply isn't strong enough right now for it to use that as a crutch to hold on to a top 10 spot.

It's dropping to #8/#9 next week and falling out the week after that. That's what I see happening.

Let it all out :skull:

I swear you prepared your posts since the album release :dies:

OT : considering how the US is in a historic crisis, 0 promo this could have been way worse.

But from now on she has to move her ass...

Monsters said Chromatica would be bigger than Lover back in February and y’all have been trying it with us all week only to end up with Halsey numbers. Genuinely, no shade, but don’t feign ignorance :skull:

OT: very stable :clap3:

So many stupid attempts to drag in here, as per usual :rip: How would most of your faves do with basically zero promo starting right after release day?

how much did they sell first week? quickly

All the ogh's in here attempting to drag gaga as if they wouldn't be attacking her if she even though about promoting the album with everything that is going on in the world. I wonder what numbers YOUR fav would have pulled in the middle of a global pandemic and a civil uprising? Trust and believe we will be remembering for when they next release.

Anyway, Gaga stays happy pulling numbers on her #1 album, that also produced her 5th #1 song, and using her voice where it matters most. clap3.gif

Gosh, how hard can someone possibly try to sound edgy and quirky :rip:

"it never started to begin with xDDD"

ew get off my mentions weirdo :mazen:

OT: someone insert the volantis gif but adjusted

A female dance-pop album having ZERO promotion since release day that happens to be related to an artist that is known to be heavily reliant upon promotional campaigns is expected to do 100k+ during a literal international situation (for the second time since the beginning of the era) in her second week. I’ve seen it all ATRL.

Y’all are something else.

The fact that it really never did :deadbanana4: why is it so hard to accept :bibliahh:

OT: #ThankYouAriana #ThankYouBLACKPINK

Those Chromatica numbers are not bad considering she's not been able to even mention the album.

Still in the contest of possibility for ANOTHER week at #1 without even so much as a tweet or a link to the album?:jonny:
