To your point, I think that a lot of these people don't want to live openly because 1) they want all the benefits of straight cis conservative society and 2) they get off sexually on shame and doing something they think is bad. therapy needed for them all

lmfao no its not she thinks showgirl is one of her best. i do not agree with this narrative that shes been on a downward slope since evermore though, ttpd is genuinely top 3 of her career w evermore and red tv. midnights is also great imo just not aoty worthy. the real tea is that even though showgirl is a clunker, it wouldve been well received if any of her peers released it. also, taylor is judged by critics and the public almost solely upon how her celebrity is being perceived during the time the album is released rather than the quality of the album (i.e. ttpd being received negatively when its an opus, people lifting great lyrics out of context in order to clown her, trying to call her an actual nazi over a very milquetoast love song about gemstones). that being said showgirl is a bottom 3 taylor record, she is above it at the point, and the deluxe was entirely unnecessary so let her get the negative feedback hopefully she course corrects

I agree with your assessment, she really needs to pull late 60s to early 70s Beatles type inspired material (no, I do not mean she needs to actually reenact what they were doing at the time, but just the Taylor Swift, equivalent of that excellence as well as the commercial success that came with it) to really cement her legacy as not only the most successful but one of the greatest of all time

I think before you decide to cut people off, you need to evaluate how heavy the conversations were with these other people and how close your relationship was with them. Most people are not well equipped to handle mental health issues, especially when they've not experienced it in the past. When people are struggling, we tend to be self oriented and that on top of social isolation that is usually imposed by oneself during depression reads as you pulling away from important relationships, and so they might feel the same way, especially if they've never gone through something like this before.

A very solid debut from adela tbh, and she's performing way better than I thought tbh. top 3 as of today: nicole kidman, red bottoms, boys tbh i never understood all the red bottoms and Hitachi hate, I think they're cute midtempo/ballad-ish songs and as a new singer, it's important to show multiple sides to yourself. therapy (lyrically) is the chop though, and im the man is 2nd to last.

they really devoured the concept down to even the visuals

they honestly should award madonna again because a lot of her most iconic music videos have come since she was awarded it. if not her, maybe miley, ciara or xtina. I really feel like before we start awarding contemporary (post music videos on mtv) artists a person who gets this award should be somebody who was a significant figure on MTV/TRL in the heyday (not even sure if those divas were, because I was too young to watch TRL, but i digress)
