This is said literally every time she releases.

Abandoning country = beginning of downfall

Kim/Kanye = she's over!

Selling 1.3M in 2017 = frontloaded mess! beginning of her downfall!

Y'all never learn :lmao:

And it's not the adele stans...that's what is even crazier.

I'm like...gurl

When they were so sure she wouldn't sell a million first week and that she'd be lucky to sell 750k because she had no organic hits.

How soon they forget but I'm glad she has 4 million selling debuts in a row

Who else can decline after 11 years of smashing success and 6 albums that are either the best selling album released that year or second best (Damn You Recovery)

We still have to wait for Billboard's numbers because apparently they are more accurate and they do tend to be a bit higher!

Billboard reports the official numbers, yes. They usually differ from HDD's, but not by much at all (and don't tend one way or another, really).

They predicted 2m.

Yes they were predicting 2M after day one. Getting giddy.

Her fanbase is getting larger and larger, and there's no evidence to the contrary.

Now, the singles aren't being as well received by the GP as she probably would like, but I don't see any case for her being on a "downfall."

This is some emergency level denial. The case is right there in your own post.

Great numbers ofc but it's concerning the sales keep trending downward.

Yeah HDD should really get better at estimating the future. Smh

And the initial prediction was 1.3-1.5m. Not exactly far from that range.

So she sold 900k without target pre orders? phenomenal numbers nonetheless

Did she beat Britney’s record?

Final numbers aren't in.
HDD predicted 1.29 but it could be higher or lower.

BB has the final say and that doesn't come out until...Monday? idk

ot: Congrats to Taylor

Our fave's recent stuff WISH

We all expected her to pass 1.5M but still, everyone daring to criticize her should take a look at #2 best-selling album of the year.

He meant if she'll beat Britney out of the second place of the best selling first week female albums.

Label said 2m before the album was even out, which a) doesnt make sense and b) it's a label prediction.... Those never make sense

If the GP likes individual songs by you isnt that important. Every artist has released singles that the GP didnt like.

The first days of LWYMMD and Reputation show that her fanbase is bigger than before.

A hit right about now would be nice to get the album closer to 4m, if not she will likely end around 3m.

But she's also 11 Years into her career.... And on her 6th era. That it's even debateable if she's declining or not is crazy

they had pre order numbers which was bigger than ever.

she was coming off 1989 which was massive, bigger than her previous era both single/album wise.

they probably thought considering all of her albums sold 5~6m consistently, they can push some to first week numbers.

I mean she obviously has bigger fan base, bigger name as artist/brand now than before.

still 2m is too much tho but after adele number they probaly thought taylor can do 2m.

anway, 1.3m is huge, way more than many of atrler's fav. she will be fine.

even if the era ended up meh, she will probably do 4~5m ww with sold out stadium shows..

Still good :clap3: Dont understand why atrl members here still trying with taylor :toofunny2: Congrats Britney for keeping that record (after adele of course :eli:)

It was for some good 15 years.

So she still isn’t beating Britney’s record !

Congrats for these amazing numbers though

She did THAT huh :jonny: Biggest selling album of the year (US) in one week. Only Her and Adele.

Also I did not know that 25 sold 6 million copies in just 3 weeks. What is life :jonny:

Taylor being on that list 17352 times.

Adele being there 3 times with the same album, one of them being the biggest opening ever.

THE POWAH :jonny:

Taylor's numbers are far more commendable given the sales climate.
