It’s one of those rare songs that sounds like a surefire smash on paper but the actual result is tacky and cringey.

This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I hope UK tabloids make a huge deal around this event.

We Belong Together was only huge in the US, and only because of radio. In actual sales, it sold the same or less than way “lesser” hits (Hung Up, which peaked at #7 in the Hot 100, sold more digital sales). As It Was was (and still is) a complete monster in streaming, sales and radio. And it is actually a global #1 smash everywhere.

This song is “meh” for me. The beat is good, the chorus is catchy, but the lyrics are too vulgar and unclassy for my taste. 6.5/10

For females: They are perceived as “authentic artists” rather than mere pop stars. (Adele, Taylor, Beyoncé) Or they are perceived as gay icons/sex-symbols with mild controversies here and there ( Britney Gaga, Kylie) For males: They do “serious”, authentic, inspiring music, and they compose their songs (Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Harry Styles) They are promoted sweet, sexy, heartthrobs (Bieber, BTS, Shawn Mendes)

Everything and I mean EVERYTHING released by Hilary Duff became a hit in Mexico between 2003-2008. A-Teens were huge in Mexico. Many (uncultured) millennials here still think Mamma Mia, Super Trouper and Dancing Queen are A-Teens songs. For some strange reason Alizeé was huge here as well (and nobody speaks french in Mexico), especially with “J’en Ai Marre” and “Mademoiselle Juliette”

This is good and inspiring but a tad boring. The song sounds unfinished. This will 100% flop, but I must admit that Bey was brave for doing a full 180º and releasing a house song.

95% of the GP doesn’t even know this song exists (or Ava for that matter). Ava needs to promote and keep promoting, she thinks she’s a MPG, when in reality she’s C-lister at best.

Vogue; it was actually created as a B-side for some Madonna random single, but when they saw how good the song was, they released it as a single. Then, they added to the I’m Breathless soundtrack, even when the song isn’t featured in the film.

She just didn’t care at all for the era. She only promoted Easy On Me 2 times, released those 2 special concerts before album release, and called it a day.

This is pop perfection, the chorus is such an earworm. This deserves to smash. If this was Dua’s lead single, it would be #1 everywhere already.

Now, this is what I call a BOP. Lizzo really delivered with this.
