Beyonce - 7/11 appreciation thread

I love when she doesn't take herself seriously and goes camp

I don't like that she tacked this onto ST, it's one of those albums in which I think the original releases tracklist and package is such a statement and no reissues were needed.

I hated it back then, but I've seen the light since. It's a mega bop.

I agree. If things were different and she needed one more project to part ways from Columbia, for example, there are enough tracks from those 2012-2015 sessions that she could technically sever the Platinum Edition on streaming platforms and expand the More Only EP into its' own compilation project comprised of the original 6 5-song tracklist and a bunch of tier-2 worthy additions exceeding the 30-40 minute album threshold:

  • 7/11

  • Grown Woman

  • Standing On The Sun (Original) (if H&M doesn't own this version outright)

  • God Made You Beautiful

  • Dreams w/ B00TS

  • Rise Up

  • Die With You

  • Runnin' (Lose It All)

  • Ring Off

  • Standing On The Sun (Remix) f. Mr. Vegas

  • Flawless (Remix) f. Nicki Minaj

  • Drunk In Love (Remix) f. Jay-Z & Kanye West

  • Blow (Remix) f. Pharrell Williams

The standalone EP with 6 tracks already debuted in the BB200 top 10, and I'm sure this expanded project would be platinum+ on arrival.

This record is Beyonce sabotage in a nutshell and brings back PTSD. Our base was in shambles: It surprise-debuted on YouTube, but because she debuted the video on her personal YouTube page and not the Vevo one... the 20M first-week video streams and the Top 10 song debut prediction evaporated overnight as the video on the personal page was not eligible for the charts. rip She would later debut the video on her Vevo page, but the damage was done. Youtube took it upon themselves when Vevo was phased out to combine personal + VEVO pages for artists, and the two separate video uploads have never been combined. Many of her personal page uploads have now been shifted to the defunct VEVO moniker. It is a relic of a time of frustration (alongside her H&M SOTS video).

Original Upload on her Personal Page: 61M views

Newer Upload on the Correct VEVO Page: 628M views.

Update: SOTS Video has finally been transferred to the right page.
