Slave 4 U is just divine. I'm obsessed with that song and video. One of the coolest singles a pop star has ever done.

Whenever is great as well I really like it, but yeah Slave is a clear winner for me.

context matters, many factors caused the singles this era not flourish and she still managed to become the most powerful artist in the world with a movie and an amazing tour

Both are two of the best songs of all time

even britneys worst songs (sans Myah Jean) are better than some of Shakira's best english songs

Both are truly 10/10 hit singles. They don't make music and starts like them any more. This is peak pop music

i'm a slave 4 U is a good record but whenever wherever is very much shakira's launch into english and it was the overall more memorable record and MV tbh

Whenever, Wherever is such a classic and one of the first music videos I ever saw as a kid but I think I'm a Slave 4 U is a better song, it's so addictive Probably my favorite Britney lead single

I was five, sitting in front of a TV waiting for Whenever Wherever MV to come up RELIGIOUSLY, I bet my mom had already knew by then, but I much much prefer S4U as a single and for choreo. Both are 10s. From Shakira I enjoy La Tortura much more now as an adult.

Can you at least quit lying and state the facts? I was much more of a Shakira fan at the time and yes whenever was HUGE. But slave had an incredible impact regardless of how it performed in the U.S. like the entire world literally stopped. It was too sexual for her at the time but had so much impact and buzz. Not to mention Slave was flagged from certain radios after parents complained about Britney being "too sexual" that era.

Also I cant choose. Its like choosing a fav child. I was literally blasting slave all the home home today. And whenever is one of my fav pop songs. Both perfect songs and videos.

Whenever, Wherever Has better streams, views on YouTube etc and much better quality. Slave sounds dated & generic. I still hear Whenever, Wherever in public places & Slave only here
