That song is pop perfection. And lyrics did what they had to do. The entire internet / media was basically rallying against her calling her a snake left and right at that point. The entire album did exactly what it needed to do. Truly her Blackout.

It' not really about that. Glory didnt do well at all and im aware of that. Being active just means that you're actively gaining new listeners and your songs ( whether new OR old) are bound to be listened to/ have exposure. That's like saying that Beyonce's earlier work hitting 1 billion NOW "isn't a milestone". The only thing that Britney has released since 2016 were videos of her spinning frantically in her basement , oh and a couple of rants on instagram so yes, it's impressive in comparison to Xtina and Beyonce releasing multiple albums, doing tours and probably currently in the recording studios in the meantime.

I did and I wasn't wrong. Britney' songs do age like fine wine and that isn't a dig at Beyonce. It's just amazing to me tbh to realise that, Britney, has more 1B songs than Beyonce for example at this stage.... forget about Xtina... we know she isn't really in their status and power. Beyonce does have more songs that are close to 1B than Britney overall , and has more songs above 100m than Britney which is amazing..... but Britney's literally retired? Like... that's also pretty good, isn't it? Whilst both ladies have had pretty big releases ever since. Britney was the punching bag not too long ago by BOTH stanbases , that Britney "can't keep up with streaming era". It' all Britney. If you were ever a fan you'd know that. Right from the very start when she described laying on the hot Louisiana rocks near the river..... that's Britney through and through. Britney's writing has always been descriptive, symbolic and deep. You could tell from the songs she'd written herself. Don't let those instagram angry rants fool you.

Truly insensitive and tone-deaf. And clearly showcases that both haven't read a page. Maybe not even a page in your entire lives. And yes, the book is definitely a must read, especially for pop fans. I've listened to the audio book because I found Michelle's voice just incredible and haunting. She deserved an award for that incredible narration. As for Britney' story it was truly heartfelt and heart-wrenching. I didn't know how bad it was before 2006. Even when she was just a teenager and before the release of Baby one more time. She was going through some dark things and her family situation has always been twisted. The relation she'd made with her grandmother was just eye opening and it was like a missing puzzle piece. The things she'd kept hidden with her relationship with JT. All just truly heart breaking. I cried multiple times even when I re read it. I cannot wait to see it on the big screen. And I can't wait to see how that movie turns out.

You gorls do realise that Britney is literally RETIRED since 2016 right? Both Beyonce AND Xtina have been pretty active since 2016. Britney has officially hanged it UP whilst they've had major album releases with major promos /tours etc Britney being ahead of them at this point is pretty impressive tbh

Not nearly as enough, nor as expected tbh. Ever since she'd sold her catalogue, There has only been a few ads featuring her songs here and there. Not to throw the word "organic" here as I know it gets thrown alot and put of place in here lol but Britney is the epitome of slow burner. I myself as a fan, used to really be a fan of 2 main albums by Britney , which were " In the zone" and Blackout. But I now I find myself really indulging in other earlier sounds and efforts. Re listening to Oops the album, Britney and even Baby one more time with appreciation. Not to mention the fact that im seeing so many of her other songs being used or frequent to viral videos on tiktok like for example , Get back which is so weird and I wanna go , Gimme more , Toxic etc. I see Primary wave will be heavily pushing / investing her songs in the future though. Especially around the time of her upcoming movie.

And wow at Britney. Imagine after 28 years of being in the business , and more than 10 years since retiring. You catch up and hit such a great milestone to a completely new form of sales era at a time where new artists that launched their careers in the middle of the streaming era and still struggling. Also the fact that she has 5 songs with over a Billion streams. Womaniser also coming for that Billion certification SOON I love how Britney just always manages to win. Her discography is impeccable and her classics and songs overall truly age like fine wine. I always find my way back to streaming and listening to her songs and now even her much earlier work and Blackout. Her songs and musical ear is seriously ahead of its time.

Because Britney has more classics, Britney's music has more longevity and ages like fine wine. And her early hits are still quite relevant. I remember both stan bases trying to drag Britney when she was just catching up to the streaming era when both Xtina and Beyonce had current collabs with great numbers. Now almost all of Britney's great solo hits are hitting more than billion streams. Beyonce has incredible overall streams though, but can't say the same about Xtina.
