The Britney album is better, imo, but both are easily 10/10 albums and so I could see how people could pick either one.

Laundry Service is more commercially successful and more important to Shakira's career than Britney is to Britney's.

I think Shakira gets this one, the albums sold about the same and LS had 2 huge worldwide hits with WW being one of the biggest songs of the decade and it honestly did more for Shakira's career than Britney's did for Britney's.

ill give shakira the edge because she had a bigger challenge writing in a foreign language and breaking through while brit brit was already in her element by this album

Slight edge to Britney. Without that album she could've been pushed into doing yet another teen-pop record and fell off the face of the Earth. Shakira obviously breaking through with an English heavy album was also a hill to overcome.

Slave also introduced the idea that Britney could do more than a Max Martin production, so naturally it opened up willing collaborators in future projects.

I was personally more intrigued by the Oral Fixation eras growing up when it came to Shakira.

But I feel like the Britney album is very overrated by ATRLERS. Laundry Service is bigger and more iconic.

I voted Laundry Service by a smidgen, but now that I think about it, overall Britney may be better. Britney is also helped by having more tracks, and I think it has little lows. My favourite song across both albums is Whenever, Wherever, but I'm A Slave 4 U isn't far from it. Both of them made even better albums for the 4th works (Fijación Oral Vol. 1 and In The Zone - magnum opuses)
