We all know that if Beyonce or Taylor had put this album out it would be getting 10s across the board!

(No offence to either ladies btw)

Oh a certain fan base is fuming I'm sure.

Congratulations Madonna for still slaying people's speakers after 44 years. Only the legend, the queen of music, the biggest selling female artist of all time, the most popular female musician ever!

When are the other reviews coming out? NY Times? LA Times?

10 reviews sounds very low for someone like her

but apparently everytime she releases something people pretend to like it and it's exhausting?

4th of July weekend might have something to do with it.

Madonna: CONFESSIONS II

Madonna's back in peak form with a fresh and honest dance record that's not only her best in 20 years, but a genuinely vital addition to her canon.

8.1

ALL HAIL KWEN OF POP

I'm still so shocked at this I thought they would've given her a 5.8 given their questionable taste

This could have been a 90 already if only millennial GHEYS (as she likes to shot out) reviewed it. C'mon GHEYS critics, pull through!

even if some reviews weigh more than others if all scores are 80 it should still be 80

So that's not how weighted averages work

Damn reading the whole thread now. How are people just now finding out MC is a wighted average and how do some of you apparently not even know what that is? Open the schools.

Why only 83? This deserves a 90.

Don't remember if they count from Metacritic but there are new reviews from Paste and Exclaim (8.3 and 8)

I can't believe an 83 on metacritic feels disappointing, but this really should be at 90+

Don't jinx it, we won Pitchfork over, era is saved etc

Wasn't there a review from Variety (with no score) and why hasn't it been added yet?

This should have an 85 at the very least

everyone and their mother giving it 80, no 100, that's homophobic!

Up to 84 now on Metacritic!
