Everything is on point: the album is amazing, we got six music videos (or parts of), she's looking gorgeous, the album is a month old and she's still promoting it, she gave her fans and the gay world a historic collab, it went #1 everywhere and it already sold 500k copies in 4 weeks. All this era is missing is a tour!

Now that the album has settled with me I can say with confidence that it's top 10 in her discography (well, of course) but also that it's probably #5 or #6. I still think Ray Of Light, Music, American Life, the original Confessions and Bedtime Stories are better but maybe that's nostalgia speaking. Anyway, Confessions II is on par with her best work ever. It's amazing how she managed to repeak after 17 years of artistic wandering (not always bad, but not efficient or groundbreaking.)

Are the two concerts (August 4 and 8) broadcast online? Kylie's show was in 2023 but it looks like none other has been since then!

Exactly. She answered a question about the performance during the Graham Norton interview that aired a month ago and that was shot 6 weeks ago, and she said it was going to be a "bright, pink, foot ball" (pun intended.) Everything was planned waaaay in advance. They didn't cut anything. If anything there was maybe a longer choir of all of them together at the end but that's it. I was mad she didn't take the opportunity to promote Confessions 2 but tbh that Danceteria reel is everything and the numbers are mindblowing so I'm okay with it!

No one cares about Indila here. She has streaming hits but no cultural or political impact. Everything Aya does makes headlines. She's very present in the media, she has hits and she is at the center of every conversation because this is a racist country and people are not okay with seeing a black woman dominate the industry like that.

So interesting to see how everything unfolded! I loved reading all that. Too bad the public event in London didn't happen tbh. I don't want another SEX book though. She's done that before. I don't see what it would add to her career tbh. She's already fighting ageism by being gorgeous, sexy, successful and by never stopping.
