I half-agree with this. The Provocateur is indefinitely better and I wish she continued on that lane but at the same time something like that for a debut album could've 100% flopped and gain a maximum of 3 new gay AOTY-obsessed stans and 2 Fantano/Pitchfork-stans nerds music that will trash you as soon as you release "bad" new music.

I highkey don't hear anything Addison Rae adjacent in this era's singles tho, nor I hear anything about Tate maybe beside Boys. If anything I hear 2018/2021 pop urban trend like Doja (or at least Nicole Kidman reminds me of something that could've been on Hot Pink and Planet Her).
