Exactly when did you become an OTH?

Featured Replies

Never have been a fan of hers but like a handful of songs in her early career. Listened to 1989 and reputation and some of red because I was studying music production and a big fan of max martin. Which made me be neutral to her. Also liked the song red after that 5H cover

she released lover and I was like god this sucks (do like the title track), then came evermore and folklore didn't like them cause cant sing and got bored of her music talking over a guitar for 40 tracks. then just got over her. And it just got worse from there due to me hating jack antanoff production style

also the fact that she's fake as hell (thought that back during her faked surprised faces in her early career) and her fans are insufferable racist asshats.

Around folklore when they started pushing the songwriter of the century narrative. It's mid (at best) + she can't sing.

Yeah the standards for her are pretty low

It depends from the music she releases and her current attitude. Let's just say the last few years she gave us lots of reasons to be OTHs chick1

everything post evermore to be honest. like i could tell she sucked as a person from very early on but with her having 2 years breaks between album cycles, it was less grating and since the material was interesting at the very least, it was easy to turn a blind eye on. ever since she decided to release albums every month, her antics just kept becoming worse and worse. it's mind blowing she's still able to prove her haters right time and time again. she's been on a generational run ever since the 2024 grammys (not complimentary).

I was a fan from 2018 till midnights. It felt to me like an artistic regression after the 2020 albums. I felt sour on her but I try to judge her work through neutral lens.

Honestly I'm not an OTH, I only like to troll her and her stans from time to time for not having decent music since 2020. She just needs to get inspired again to do something artistic and not quick cash grabs for me to like her again biblio

Personally, I have found her inoffensive for the longest time.

That's the main problem for me. 20 years of career and still releasing background music for teenagers? Bye

Something shifted after the Swifties-Monsters alliance was intercepted by some newer Swfities hating on Ga Ga ala peterstyles13 and By The Water and The Eras Tour made some of them insufferable

I very vividly recall Monsters hiding behind Taylor while Gaga was flopping, then getting brave and starting to come for Taylor (and everyone else) the minute A Star Is Born smashed, quickly ruining any goodwill from other bases that Gaga had going at the time.

I was a huge fan (as evidenced by my username), but she's been proving herself to be an awful person pretty consistently since 2021. Thankfully the music is awful too, so now there's no reason to be a fan.

fan: approximately 2009 some point after the You Belong with Me music video

stan: red era

unstan/casual listener: lover

lost interest: folklore/evermore (though i still tuned in to the Eras Tour and the new albums since)

hater: Life of a Showgirl (though it was lowkey nice to see Liza Minnelli mention Taylor ("from one showgirl to another") in her memoir

I think it was the first few award shows I saw her at and realized she's obsessed with coming across as likeable to the point where it became evident that she's probably super fake and opportunistic as well. Then the phone call released by Kanye showed the ones not gullible how more of a fake she is, the girl squad from the Bad Blood was so high school and then her manufacturing the masters story. The fandom being what it is with a lot of morally questionable supporters and it being a cult further established my distaste for her brand. However there's been so many shady things about her since that it's just embarrassing to openly stan her at this point.

Actually the main narrative on ATRL was if Ga Ga could get a #1 at the time. Ofc we're gonna celebrate that she was able to do that after being doubted and undermined on ATRL for that. There were a lot of GagaSwiftie hybrid stans and there still is, but some have drawn their line in the sand now.

Other popgirls were flopping with soundtracks, same with Taylor until her recent Toy Story track. Haters made it sound so easy to get soundtrack hits and an Oscar. But now the goalposts moved again for Ga Ga

BTW not some people here admitting to being engaged in OTHism since 2007. Y'all were boatmates

Since always. Most overrated artists on the planet. No voice, awful vocals and mid lyrics most the time. Just no talent all around.

TTPD being shite and proving she still saw herself as the victim even while being the biggest artist in the world + stealing from Olivia and going full throttle supporting her perceived rivals like a high school mean girl really annoyed the **** outta me

I was becoming a swiftie druing folklore and midnights, but became an OTH when she released a 45 songs album

I used to like some of her music especially 1989, snd even went to zeras. I was never a stan but maybe a casual fan. But it really pissed me off that she and Jack Antonoff took 50% of the writer credit for Deja Vu just because she shouts a bit in the bridge. That's an insanely selfish and ludicrous abuse of power on a young artist. I really couldn't stand that she did that and then she kept giving me additional reasons to hate her, like the way she would suddenly drop a millionth variant to block a new artist from getting number one. Just completely over her now.

i must say, i was an OTH from 'WANGBT' til about '...RFI?' to this day I still hate WANGBT because that's the annoying song that made me rly dislike her for 3 eras.
