This era has been such a success in spite of her label fumbling at every possible opportunity. She needs to switch over to a better label as soon as possible.

I really hope she releases more demos. "purple (happy version)" was such a treat.

Everybody's first mistake was assuming that Interscope had some kinda master plan by not servicing Stupid Song to radio. They're just an awful label that doesn't know what they're doing.

He's never given a particularly compelling performance in anything I've seen him in. This really shouldn't come as a surprise, even to his biggest fans.

I truly don't think she's on the soundtrack. They've never done original songs for these movies. Interscope is just a sh*tty label, that's really all there is to it.

I was a huge fan (as evidenced by my username), but she's been proving herself to be an awful person pretty consistently since 2021. Thankfully the music is awful too, so now there's no reason to be a fan.

I'd argue it was better during Guts. BIR impacted Pop radio, but only a week or two after it was released. Same goes for GHB, though they actually pulled all playlist support for that song before it impacted Pop radio which might be even worse than what they're doing now. At this point, it's too late for Stupid Song to really benefit from radio. It's peaked on streaming and, considering how poorly Pop treats her songs, it's not going to go very far. They'd be better off pushing a brand new song. IMO, she should release a couple of singles as standalones, leading up to an eventual deluxe that includes them all + a couple more bonus tracks. She said she loved Serena Joy but that it didn't fit the album, so why not release it as a standalone single?

It's insane how obviously botted his streams are.

Granted, it'd be a stretch to call The Cure and Stupid Song singles (especially The Cure, which is in the bottom half of Today's Top Hits even though it's Top 10 on Spotify), but Honeybee would be a good candidate for the next single. It's very wintery.

I know you guys don't like Katy Perry, but hoping she finds a disease is just wrong.

Her team should put out cassettes and CD singles for Stupid Song in the UK. It's doing well, it just keeps getting blocked by other songs with physical copies.

She's doing so much better than GUTS this era

Her callout scores have been awful since "traitor". It's strange, because I would expect "drop dead" to appeal to radio listeners and programmers.

In this day and age, a song doing 4 to 5 million daily streams on Spotify is smashing. When a song does 10 million streams, like Beauty and the Beat, it's an anomaly... and driven by bots.

4 songs in the Top 5... insane.

They should've pushed Maggots to Top 10. Maybe an instrumental and acapella on iTunes would've helped.

I hope so! The festival is great and all but it doesn't really matter to anyone who can't go.

It's the first album when she started to feel creatively bankrupt IMO, and she's only gotten worse since.

I'm so excited for the deluxe. I'm sure it's coming, because the whole vinyl debacle means a repress is on the way that has the uncut songs. Ideally, we'll get 6 new tracks + "never do", so both sides of the album have ten tracks each. I'm really hoping we get every song that was on the white board draft tracklist. "serena joy", "the pool", and "why would you ask for so much?" are fantastic titles that have piqued my curiosity.

What's with people saying Midnights in a good album? What album with Vigilante ****, Karma, Question...? and Bejeweled can be considered a good album?

And yet she's not even Top 20 on Spotify... strange.
