I really don't like the direction she's taken this era. I'm all for artistic growth and development, but this doesn't feel like that to me. Tinashe's music always had a very distinctive sound so whatever genre she was exploring, I could still identify it as her flavour on that genre. But this era, I've only really had that with Crash Out, which sounds like an unfinished demo. I have no idea what this random club track is, but the fact that she's not singing on 90% of the song and we're just listening to her pitched chanting. This could've been released by anyone. I'm holding out hope that the album will provide more of a complete picture with a balance between these types of tracks and some more mellow R&B sounds.
