Especially because there have definitely been worst offenders and we're about to get flooded with a ton of new Slayyyter music as well

I think this was okay? Like, far from bad but not as good as the others she has been putting out. Or maybe brand new chanels is THAT godly that makes this one sound pale in comparison. Maybe it will grow on me with the whole album.

I love how much anger the song exudes.

But I must admit that this is my least favourite out of her songs released past year, but I trust her vision and I'm sure it's gonna work in the album.

Hmmm. I need a car listen to properly judge but I won't lie, first listen I'd rank it above Broke ***** Freestyle and below everything else released this year. Didn't sound bad but it had a lot to live up to with the OG Crank and I don't think it got there

But on the other hand Beat Up Channel$ is near the bottom part of my list of her songs released this year and Brand New is probably top 5 so not losing hope for the Inverse album idea.

I like it. Not sure how to articulate this, but I think it was probably doomed from the start to never quite compare to the original, since it's such a standout track and the duality is a little too on-the-nose w/ it being called "crank 2."

brand new Chanels was such a successful interpretation of the companion song that anything released after is gonna have some pretty lofty expectations attached to it.

hmmm i like it but i had high hopes after BNC, this really is just kind of a part 2 to crank where BNC felt like a totally new song
