Haha, I expected this kind of comment (it is valid ). I only have first three songs in my playlist so those are the ones that I'll be revisiting the most. The other ones I listed are just okay so if they'd come up in the shuffle, I wouldn't skip them. The rest just didn't click with me at all. I'll definitely give the album more spins in the future, though. So that's my explanation.

Also, listened to the album yesterday again and yeah, most of it is not for me, unfortunately. Faves: 1. Marijuana 2. Nicole Kidman 3. KGB 4. Hitachi 5. Boys 6. Red Bottoms (7. Ain't In LA) I do not care about the rest.

The cake scene with her doing praying sing, then touching her tatas and the finishing with the split on the floor in Nicole Kidman video is sooo f***ing iconic. Like give her all the acclaim and awards just for that. I'm so gagged. It elevated the song for me to indescribable levels. I really hope that it'll become huge. Also, the comment that this is her Talk That Talk is sooo accurate. Slovakian Rihanna, if you ask me.

That would be insaaane!

Marijuana is sooo f***ing good.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that a young woman from Slovakia is smashing like this in the US and worldwide. Even though I don't love the album, I'm so proud of her as a fellow Slovak and wish her all the best. Hope Ain't in LA continues to smash and Nicole Kidman follows.

The anticipation for this made me listen to her older work (from Bangerz to SB). You could never make me hate her, she's an amazing artist. Even if some eras weren't smashes, she's got a timeless songs in each of her albums. She's gonna be a legend in the future with a lot of timeless classics that might not have been smashes when released, mark my words. What a great discography. Also, this might be a hot take, but I think from Plastic Hearts on, she really found her direction and is following it while still switching it up a bit every album. I think SB was closest she got to perfection – the cohesion, the sound – the whole album screams legendary classic. I really hope this one will be another greatness. This was my first time listening to some of Bangerz songs and I'm floored?! I particularly enjoyed Drive and Do My Thang.

Dua and Billie DaBaby is such a stain on Levitating, though...

The biggest problem I have with this is the pacing... Even though Hitachi is a nice song, why the hell is it in the middle of the album? I feel like it makes it lose momentum (Red Bottoms as well - I didn't care for this one at first but it's actually nice). Some of the songs are super basic, uninspired and sound like they could be sung by anybody (I'm The Man, Fantasize, Starving Artist). I understand why she decided to go this route but I expected better execution that would distinguish her from the others anyways. Therapy could also be a nice vulnerable moment but it just feels so half-assed. With that being said, I hope Ain't In LA continues to smash and Nicole Kidman is gonna smash as well. Boys should be next single. I hope for something better with her next project. I'm rooting for you, Adéla! I like this a lot but it's not something that would floor me, personally. It actually feels like a hit so I hope it's gonna become one. I loved her EP and KGB, but Ain't In LA did nothing for me (happy that she's smashing with it, though!). I think it was smart for her to go more of an urban/r&b route a la Arianna/Doja for her debut if she wants to make it big in the US. Definitely gonna keep an eye on how she's doing. Wish her the best!

I enjoyed this a lot on the first listen. The chorus is actually stuck in my head right now. I love the vibes, I love the production and lyrics/theme. I do not mind that it's repetitive. We will see if it's gonna grow on me more. 7.5/10 for now.
