it's kinda hive minded and there isn't a lot of room for nuanced opinions. It's just everyone agreeing and if you don't post something that's in line with the rest of the takes you get downvoted.

Somewhere along the history of Reddit the downvote got turned from a button used to highlight nuanced takes, into a like/dislike button.

It's god-awful due to the mods thinking they're running a Pulitzer-awarded journal and not an online discussion forum. (Seen too often on reddit in general unfortunately.) It's basically a hub for links of songs and occasional reviews, any discussion and community is basically non-existent. It didn't use to be like that, but the rules got more and more strict and convoluted over time and now it's a sterile RSS feed.

Haven't checked it out and probably won't.

ATRL is way far far funnier and more open to people from different countries like me and different life paths and more open to discussion
I was also turned away by the way they were banning people just for commenting in different subs.
If you commented in a sub the mods didn't like, you were banned from Popheads. Lowkey giving dictatorship.
People were not happy about it but they didnt care about people feelings* mods feelings come first

Now about fauxmoi. They just hate all the celebs. Is a circlejerking of judgin all celebs like a criminal and feeling better about themselves.

I love some of their threads but it is definitely more restrictive

I never even engaged with them and unfollowed after some time, after reading through threads. They remind me of the worst of prince.org—unstable, always whining about something and the overall snobbery.

White-centered. Anti-black. Miserable.

Just go to ATRL got banned from them once. Theyre too soft

It's so boring and vanilla. Popheads circle jerk sub has a bit more messy-ness which I prefer
