Halo is one of Bey's classics I just do NOT get the mass appeal for. It's so… plain. Maybe that is the appeal

Halo Really should have went to Leona her soft tone would have been much better for Halo. Bey love her but she was doing too much with a simple song.

Both are dated and generic AF, but I only use Already Gone to this day. Halo was so overplayed, and I was just thinking earlier about how generic and awful IASF was compared to what Beyoncé is capable of today.

now dgmw, Halo is an excellent pop song in its own right, but Already Gone has a certain organic vibe to its instrumental and overall production that the more synthesized Halo lacks. it's thus more timeless and more epic than Halo imo the melodies and lyrics are also better in Already Gone, and something about the heartbeat sort of beat in Already Gone makes the song itself feel like it could've come out today or in 2009 or even in the 80s. Halo sounds extremely 2008 to me
