i dont have an issue with her ai vid tbh but definitely as a major artist of the planet right now u should spend your money in something very detailed and clean Like when i listen to shaki,katy,gaga,zara,tate and more i expect a level of quality higher than any underground singer in their vids-song production
Some of these artists are wealthy. So they have the money to pay for animators and some of the best creatives
Specially when we are talkin about a Music Video. Something that will live forever

Now i also feel like she flopped-midperformed and people just wanna to destroy her
It always happen when an artist didnt reach the goals people want for them

Sometimes I think when pop fans say "[insert artist]'s team is clueless! they don't know what they're doing!" I think it's a little dramatic (see Tinashe or Shakira) but here i think it is so accurate that it's actually such an understatement. That music video is rotten.

I do like her music but that's really disappointed me. Outside of that video, I think she should show her personality more online and interact more on social media. people really like to see someone's personality and it can help sell the music (Doja Cat comes to mind).

Everyone is 100% correct! She needs to get away from her management team ASAP.

It's just two major issues with her actually doing that as easily as we say she should:

1. FAX picked her up first in South Africa. Since she was technically a "rising star" there, it is very safe to assume they offered her a predatory/backhanded contract. In the beginning, Tyla UNDOUBTEDLY wanted the fame and I'm sure she still does now. My point is, Tyla is 9/10 trapped with FAX for 3+ albums. We would have to endure this at least ONCE MORE before she may only potentially be free

2. Epic is only the distributor. With poor sales and brand tarnishing **** like that video, executives at Epic may start to deem the joint venture as unprofitable or too risky from a business perspective. We have to remember, Epic are the ones footing the bill for the vinyls, CDs, cassettes, etc. They can terminate their contract with FAX at any point. If not that, they can halt releases which is obvs practically getting shelved.

The only way out honestly is her getting dropped by FAX. Or buying her way out of the contract that they share together.

The tour can 100% be a saving grace, but only for Tyla and FAX. Epic makes 0% of the profit from the tour… so still risky with this being the current trajectory.

It's heartbreaking knowing this because she truly has the potential to dominate WW. The beauty, the spicy choreo, the singing abilities, the easily recognizable name…. EVERYTHING but a management team that can accommodate her growing fame

The video is terrible, but That Girl is so good I don't think it will matter

I was so disappointed in flat production of "Kiss" that I had to rework it into a "club" version that builds around the groovy bass and intro. Hope you enjoy!

Rollout is sad but I'm really enjoying the album. Hopefully she proves herself on tour and finds better represntation ASAP

Okay, I finally had time to listen to it properly, and it's definitely a disappointing project. Her first album feels much more authentic and cohesive.

"IS IT LOVE" isn't even that bad but "THAT GIRL" should've been the album opener. FAIRYTALE, DOUBLE BLIND and FEEL SOMETHING are major CHOPS.

You can actually feel the wasted potential in a lot of these new tracks

Bruhh I hate to bring bad news again but she's already cancelled/removed a tour date… the same week it's been announced.

It's the Lagos, Nigeria date scheduled for January. Apparently, she's being boycotted there

I quite love the album - I don't think it is as strong as her debut album but I feel like there are a lot of fun moments and production on the project

Was offline for release week but uhm…

It's okay? Nowhere near her first album and definitely not what she needed atp in her career imo. There are some highs but they're mostly the singles and That Girl, Kiss and Mr. Nonchalant. But the highs aren't high enough to justify the filler at the end and middle of the album.

Idk, she should come back with a new project next year that is more inspired. I don't think this album fully delivered on its hype or promise.
