olivia's real smash, "girl so in love" comes on 5/1 guys

This makes no sense if they dropped it weeks after the lead single? celestial5

There has never been a song from an album with this many pre-saves that didn't go #1 with 10M+ on day one and if it's good I see it holding onto the top spot for a long time. I don't even think 10M+ will be its debut. I think it will be more than that, potentially even bigger than BTS' and Harry's.

I saw people on Instagram posts about Olivia commenting that The Music Industry is planning on releasing like 200K vinyls on April 18th for their flopping third single. Who knows how accurate those numbers are, but I still think Olivia should be able to take the #1.

That's a total number of vinyl that's being shipped to record stores for record store day in the US. It was announced about a month back, but without a push for a larger radio audience and streaming, it's likely that it pops into the top 5 for the week before settling back into lower range of the top 40.

We don't know if she's going to release CD's or remixes on iTunes though

Yeah sales alone will not let it compete with Olivia or the Texas song because the streaming numbers are so weak and it's not smashing on radio. She would have to pull more stunts to take it.

Taylor can steal the number one if she wants. The issue is, is she gonna risk looking like a total b****. Her sabotaging Olivia's lead just to get a fraudulent 3rd #1 through sales and tactics would make her look terrible. It would make her look worse than when she blocked Billie with TTPD

I could see Olivia releasing remixes to block Taylor if Taylor tried coming for her. Taylor obviously had way more power but the initial lead Olivia will have might be enough to hold Taylor off

On that specific day even though the flop song from The Variant Industry is already out would be cruel. How many of these sabotaging tactics will it take for her fans to see that she's a bad person and needs to **** off?

people running to break the promo locks and selling them for thousands of dollars biblio i hate this world

Both Billie and Olivia's debut albums were a sonical blur for me, except for the singles. But their second albums. Wow! I'm re-listening to GUTS, and it's something else. clap3

Taylor sweetie respectfully let other girls have their moment. Her making being competitive her whole personality has turned me off. Like you're one of the biggest popstars ever and a billionaire what more do you want? Chill. Enjoy your engagement and plan your wedding so you can actually be inspired and come back with an actual good album

I'm 100% sure Taylor will sabotage like she did with Billie

If that happens she will be her own reason why her reign comes to a sudden halt

even if taylor gets that #1, i'm sure Olivia will've climbed there anyway in the passing weeks.

Calm down dude! Elizabeth Taylor isn't going #1.

Ella Langley will be doing 300+ points for next few weeks, that is Olivia's competition but Olivia will get that #1 for one week atleast.

No one would give a ****, especially seeing as Taylor was announced as the Record Store Day Vinyl Exclusive like a month before Olivia announced this single. And seeing as RSD is a big deal for the industry, Olivia's team was most likely aware that was happening even weeks before then.

Yet they still picked that date, so i guess they either don't care or actively want to compete with Taylor for extra press!

I think she's in a different headspace now. She's happy and engaged. heart2

Hoping we get a preview tomorrow on her hotline. Then maybe music video preview on Tuesday.

She teased a couple snippets of Vampire on her hotline before it was released.

Her team needs to post to TikTok. 🙄 They haven't posted about the album or single on there yet.

One week since the announcement of "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love":

• Olivia Rodrigo's most engaged album across all platforms

• 1.4M pre-saves in one week

• 2nd fastest female album to reach 1M pre-saves

• 5th most pre-saved album in Spotify history
