It's actually not risky. Her strategy was wrong the last time. First single is always big based on hype alone so as long as the song is good like BIR it will hit #1. Then the second single is the ballad with the album release and it's another easy hit

Yeah, I love vampire but releasing a ballad on 4th of July week in the US was a misstep. Vampire was gonna be a hit either way. She should've released GIB or BIR as the lead to grab an easy #1 and then save the obvious hit (vampire) for album drop, similar how Ari released yes and

Compared to her amazing ballad lead singles, it's nice change of pace, save the ballad for the launch week.
