My mom HATED Britney Spears, constantly referred to her as “Shitney” and said she sang like a dying goat. And yet she bought me tickets to all the tours I went to.

She said Taylor Swift was vocally limited but a great storyteller. Also called her “industry pussy” lmao.

Loved Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and Adele DOWN tho.

My mom really only likes male country singers and my dad only listens to classic rock these days.

When we watched Wicked my mum said it was the worst film she'd ever watched in her life, and Cynthia was the only person in it who could sing I don't think she dislikes Ariana tho. She doesn't really know enough about most singers to have an opinion on them tbh, she just knows their names.

my mother loves whitney, mariah, madonna, and janet. she's the one who got me into them and many of classic r&b artists. she is also low-key a gaga fan, but seems indifferent to rihanna and bey. my father is more of a rock and jazz fan. he loves nina simone, coltrane, fleetwood mac, and eagles
