Sonically, Gaga played it safe in the late 2010's while Katy took risks. Why?
and releasing nothing political in that album, yes liberation was the theme for the album but voting for rick caruso showed her true colors

Sonically, Gaga played it safe in the late 2010's while Katy took risks. Why?
katy built her career on sex appeal, and since witness era she lost that factor. also the songs weren't helping. Compared to risks that gaga has taken (which is releasing a jazz album then winning a grammy and starring in a movie and winning an oscar for shallow two risks that actually paid off) katy played it pretty safe. this is one of the reasons why katy didnt release a song like DWAS, she is pretty one dimensional and surface level. But I can tell you what was katy's riskiest attempt was, it was running back to dr. luke for hits which didn't pay in the end.

ADÉLA - 'PRIMA'
Okay none of the things I'll say in this post is a shade but wtf She completely lost all her edge and what makes her unique with this palatable ava max type of album. Like album isn't terrible it's still an okay record but that's about it And I actually love her to death, she reminded me of Gaga's the fame era and how much she wanted it and would do whatever it takes to get it I do get that this album should put her in the map and be more gp friendly than the provocateur but that doesn't instantly make it a good project I haven't listened to the bonus tracks yet but as far as I can see from the comments they are good Oh Adela…

Chromatica: the laziest album cycle ever?
The only good things that came out of this era were the visuals, Rain on Me Grammy Win, 911 MV, Enigma and Replay BUT of course covid happening and gaga's mental state are also the main and huge factors. Can't wait for your next AI thread
