i tend to buy a lot of physical media from thrifshops. in the the last two years i've spent way too much money at them places. books - i usually get them for a dollar or even 50 cents (even though i also have hundreds of epub files in my kindle scribe). i usually get novels and nonfiction stuff related to my academic field. comic books - mainly used, old ones from the 70s-90s (i became addicted to old teen titans, wonder woman, and vampirella a few years ago). cds - though i don't buy as many as i used to. i already have too many and have been donating discs that i no longer listen to. my latest purchases were the new ones by tori amos, arlo parks, and cannons. vinyl - whatever i can get from my faves and used jazz or classic rock records. i also like to get 12" dance remixes. movies - i used to avoid dvds coz i thought they would look bad, but the upscaling i get from my 4k player is pretty good, so now i'm getting them in addition to blurays and 4k discs. video games - but i only have about 50 or so. luckily, i have enough room for the media, and it looks nice on display, but i know i need to stop buying at some point.
