I like Sabrina but I think it was kind of a weak album for what I think she can do and rested on the laurels of S&S. But did it flop? No. It's probably going to end up bigger than GUTS/HTE which is pretty impressive.

it didn't really flop but we'll see if it has the longevity of Guts, and it kind of lost the momentum of the Short N Sweet era

And the album didn't flop, I don't like the album but it was just a natural decline after a huge era

The fact that she didn't even start touring the album yet and people are acting like this was a flop.

Next month she'll headline Coachella, that will probably be MBF heavily, and probably launch the tour for the end of this the year.

i imagine it was a rush job to strike while the iron was hot and remove pressure from future releases. if she took her time, strayed from the formula, and happened to flop, then sns would be considered a fluke and her narrative as ascending superstar would be hurt a lot. her team played it pretty smart in retrospect. but because it was basically an sns rerelease, it obviously couldn't reach those same highs in terms of numbers.

Idk I was pretty surprised it was still top 10 for most streamed female albums

Were Guts or HTE doing those numbers at this point in their run? I prefer the latter two so I would prefer they outsuccess MBF but talent rarely wins anymore

I didn't reach the heights of Short n' Sweet but I would definitely not call it a flop. Do not care for the album personally but most artists would kill to have a ''flop' era like hers let's be fr.

To put it into perspective, SNS is at 13M on Chartmasters while HTE is at 11M. MBF (4M) will be lucky to match GUTS (9M) when it's all said & done
