yes but it looks terrible anyway so nothing of value was lost

Even without the boycotting, it's just not interesting to see the same thing over and over again. 5 and 6 were going in an interesting direction, but now with 7 it's back to the nostalgia well, like a

It literally uses AI ahh

Isn't that going to be a plot point of the film?....

Yes, it's quite pathetic + a slap in the face to fans.

Lol scream 6 was a copy of scream 2 (the killers motive and reveal). Nothing original..

I was on the fence, but after reading all the spoilers and watching the trailers it seems kind of meh. I'll watch it on streaming.

I love the Scream series but **** everyone involved in this. I hope it flops.

Just pirating it for the plot, I can wait and not spend money on movie ticketsmichael

I won't be supporting this film. Even my love for Courteney Cox isn't enough. Paying just to see Courteney Cox for less than 5 minutes screen time isn't worth it

No, why would I boycott it just because she got dropped years ago? idc

she said she was only contracted for two films which were 5 and 6. The plot they had set up for her in 7 sounded terrible anyway

Scream 5 & 6 are requels of Scream 1 & 2. There was nothing that interesting to the reveals—the most interesting thing about them was Sam being Billy's daughter

Yes! There are like zero interesting characters left outside of Gale

I thought the way 6 ended was very promising. Was hoping to see more of the dark side of the sisters, oh well

the trailers look and feel like a different franchise in terms of how Syd interacts with ghostface.

also, in the literal last two movies Sydney is supposed to have newborn children and somehow now her kid is high school aged.

it doesn't even look funny, and that's a shock because Kevin is literally back to write and direct

It does feel different indeed, like there is some kind of disconnect to the original. And it also feels more like "Halloween" than "Scream" in the way it looks. Just too modern. Sidney has two younger daughters (the ones "seen" in Scream 5) but they are with their grandmother in the movie. But it definitely was funny, especially Gale and Sidney had some good one-liners.

How is that pathetic? The Scream franchise were always a satirical commentary on horror movies and technology, the newest technical advancments were always a plot point and how GF used them. It's no different with AI which, like it or not, is something that a lot of people use. And it's not like the movie says "AI is great", quite the opposite.

Isn't Palestine a homophobic country? Legally weren't homosexuals sentenced to go to jail for existing in Palestine?

Why would I care about a country that promoted morals against MY existence?
Why are gays so invested in supporting people that do not care about them?

Please love yourselves.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the sisters but felt that by the end of 6 there was really nowhere for their story to go.

It's predicted to gross more than the whole franchise did on their opening weekends and be behind scream 1 and 2 as a whole.

You can oppose and even despise a culture while still believing that its people should not be bombed indiscriminately, starved to death, or have their children murdered.

But would the same people do the same, if it were gay people being eradicated?
Do you believe the same people would be waving LGBT flags, and putting rainbows in their bios?

Israel has killed more than 20,000 children and permanently injured more than 40,000. Children are innocent and incapable of hate unless taught to them. They didnt choose to be born within those borders or into that culture

Human rights (including the right not to be bombed) should not apply only to people who hold progressive values. You do not "earn" the right not to be starved or buried under rubble by having a perfect human rights record

Its the idea that a child in Gaza deserves to live regardless of what they might be taught about sexuality later. Sad that you cannot find empathy for people who don't mirror your own identity

i'm confused why this franchise is still going to begin with deadbanana2 wasn't planning on watching anyway, so i guess it'll be easy to boycott

And what exactly has that boycott done to the human rights you speak of? Social media activism?

And it's not about having the "perfect human rights" record, not sentencing gay people to jail, is the bare minimum.
