A friend received the album to write a review and I listened with her, it's a very uptempo album and the album feels very 80s meets Carly Rae Jepsen. Highlights for me are obviously Wannabeher, Eastside Girls, Big Stick

Wannabeher is very Kim Wilde. Loving it.

Also the wananbeher cover is exactly the album sound, it's very warm and hot and perfect for a night out

anything else that sounds like the opening track vibe wise? I loved that one

I had loved their previous album, which was packed with hits! 'What I Want' is truly a masterpiece. Here, the singles had left me a little underwhelmed. I streamed them once and then moved on but the album is good. It's dirty, politically charged, and it actually fits well with the rest of their discography in the end. Maybe they just didn't choose the right singles.

This is album is insane. All of their albums are but this is up there with some of their best work. The production is out of this world and some are the songs are like nothing they've done before yet it still sounds so them.

My favourites after the first listen are:

Mary Jane — So catchy, sounds like a timeless hit. Just absolute pop perfection.

Big Stick — So political and intense, I love how the drums just get harder and harder as the lyrics get deeper and deeper. Amazing to hear them do a song like this, a proper moment in their discography.

Eastside Girls — No wonder it's the next single, this is such a single. Catchy, big sounding. Big backing vocals. Very 80's and fun.
